well i managed a big weekend to make reaching 30 easier.
friday night headed out to strathpine for dinner and drinks at franny's.
dinner was delicious, and we eventually headed over to dooley's. $7 basic spirits! crazy shit.
so $6 stoli black russians were the go, good value at 1.9 standard drinks! nasty shit though.
the guests and neighbours we wandered over with all disappeared through the night, but i had a great time. much singing and dancing along to the dodgy cover band.
and, i gotta say, plenty of eye candy. i was impressed!
once the band was done, stumbled back to fran's and crashed out on the couch.
voted on my way home the next morning then crashed out for a couple hours. phone kept going off so i gave up, just lazed in bed all afternoon. nellie came over, we drank, mark gave us a lift into the valley, but unfortunately couldn't come out. then met up with everyone at the RG.
horrid place, the music was painful, so we scooted out of there as soon as we could, and off to Bar Burlesque. :D Tony had a great idea, and asked for a group discount on the cover charge. So we got $5 each instead of $10. Tony paid for everyone, though, I think some paid him back!
People filtered off, girls danced in their underwear, i started drinking cocktails, letting the gorgeous brazilian barmaid choose for me. Played some pool... badly. Had a great time in general. :D
Ended up at fat boys for a good ol' all day breakfast. took a long time to eat! chatting lots, and it went down well. :D
finally got a cab home, got back about 5 in the morning.
couldn't sleep! and the picnic was out because of the rain, so we had a picnic on my bed, watching dvds and dozing.
now i think pizza is the go for dinner... less effort than cooking, and i can pay with credit... ran out of money last night! oops.
and i have to thank louise for forcing me not to open the gift she sent me! it was nice to have something to open in the morning, and, boy have i been having fun with it. :D
