The Black Rose duellists forget. The people they take their swords from... don't. The question is, how do you deal with it? And the answer is:

Science and math he's probably going to have to repeat. English... he tries not to think about. And he's got the kendo room again, although the team has gotten used to doing without him and he doesn't really care if he ever sees them again.

The crowds of fans are smaller, although they still come around; and they don't get as close, now. There are a lot of rumors about what he did to get expelled, and a lot more about what he did to get back. But no one asks.

Life is back to normal, and what that means to him is: Life is good. If it's a little chilly, a little empty--well, it always was, pretty much. He's happy.

Even if sometimes he haunts the kendo room when everyone else is sleeping, ignoring the ache in his chess and trying to forget having his heart torn out---he's happy. Because this is what he wanted. Right?
