I ignored the weather this weekend and focused on gardening. Bought all my flowers for the containers on the back porch: purple & pinkish Petunias, Pinks (which Mr. Underfoot has already begun eating), orange Marigolds, Fuchsia & yellow Biden. I also bought a little patio tomato that will probably die in this cold. Actually I didn't really buy the tomato plant - I had such a traumatic retail experience at Home Depot that they actually gave it to me for free. Also got some basil and a rosemary plant. And I'm in the process of growing mint, peppers, chives, a black-eyed susan vine and cosmos. Now if only the sun would come out. This weather is really getting me down as I'm sure it is everybody else. My only way of coping is drinking wine, eating a whole heck o' a lot of cheese & crackers and watching british television. Jeeves & Wooster, anyone?
