Found this on a random search I decided to go on about acting. Some of this is good for any situation to practice.
I've experienced writing a script, directing a short film, acting, acting in a play, even editing a movie.
Though I'm not much of an actor, I always seem to find it interesting. Anything to do with movies really. I love movies, when I was a kid if I loved a movie so much, i would watch it over and over agian. Much to my families annoyance of course.
We had a drama club in our highschool. Well make that a formerly funded, now unfunded but still stong Drama Club that will not give up. Schools, it is alway the arts that go first before the sports. That's public popularity for ya.
But I never really ended up going to it much, or more I went there after school, same room just more to hang out. The teacher who let the drama club use his room was a teacher that some students would hang out around with after school. Everybody who had his class seemed to like him, he is soo funny. Back to drama club: I was just always so nervous to participate in drama club. I could never think of things to do for a skit or activity we did. then again some of the people there were a little bit too stuck up to help sombody out. Too wrapped up in their own awsomeness (though there weren't many). And some of them were pretty awsome though.
When I am the person with all the attention on me, my mind goes instantly blank and I start panicking.
. . .
Ok soo apart from that intro going totally emo on me, here is the random thing I fond interesting on acting!
How to Be a Good Actor or Actress http://www.wikihow.com/Be-a-Good-Actor-or-Actress You've seen people around and they are very good at talking and acting and such. They seem to inspire you and you want to know how they become like that.
- Remember that posture makes a difference. It gives appearance of confidence and when you're confident, you look like you can talk well.
- Talk at the perfect speed and volume. Don't talk to fast unless you are intentionally doing so. Don't talk slow either, you will bore people. Don't talk too loud, people hate that. Don't talk too quiet, you will hear a lot of repeat requests.
- Keep eye contact. Looking off to the side can ruin everything.
- Make impressions from popular movies. Make sure you plan them in front of the mirror first so you know it looks good.
- Think before you say, so you don't pull the whole "um" thing or stutter.
- Make body movements! Jazz hands, thumbs up, a dramatic lean on your hip, roll your eyes, stick your tongue out, shuffle your feet, flip your hair, anything works!
- Don't show nervous behavior like most guys will keep moving their feet and it makes them look like they have to go to the bathroom. And as for girls they usually hide their hands in their pockets or sleeves.
Tips
- Be friendly. It's as simple as that.
- Watch a lot of plays and movies. You can get impressions from there.
- Be assertive!
http://www.articlesbase.com/art-and-entertainment-articles/how-do-you-become-a-good-actor-or-actress-8886.htmlif you are interested in becoming a good actor or actress -- you need to keep in mind that some people do have an innate ability for acting. On some level it may be something of an oversimplification to way that some people have an innate ability to act, making them more likely to be able to find success in the movies. But, in reality, some people do seem more inclined to excel in the various arts -- including acting and the movies. Therefore, you may have some recognition as to whether you do have some innate tendencies that make you more inclined to excel in acting and in the movies.
2. A person like yourself who may be interested in becoming a good actor or actress, in making a go of it in the movies, you should consider taking acting classes. There are acting techniques that can be learned in an instructive setting. Of course, when it comes to acting lessons as a prelude to attempting a career in the movies, you will want to make certain that you associate yourself with an experienced and reputable acting school or acting coach. As with so many things in th 21st century, there are many charlatans in the world who hold themselves out as being talented and qualified acting instructors when they are nothing of the sort. There are some outstanding acting schools around the world -- schools that are very hard to gain entry to even on a good day. However, you do not have to one or another of the top acting schools to gain the basic skills and techniques you need to assist you in getting your foot in the door into the world of movies. There are a number of excellent, smaller acting schools dotting the globe that can provide you with precisely the education you need as a prelude to working your way into the world of acting and movies.
3. As with many things in life, when it comes to bettering your skills as an actor or actress -- whether it be for the stage, for television or for movies -- practice is important. Indeed, a person can never hone his or her skills as an actor or actress without ... acting. Therefore, if you truly are interested in acting, and even if your goal is the movies, you should take advantage of other acting opportunities that come to down the pike. For example, many an actor or actress has been able to cut his or her acting teeth in the world of the
theater, including more local theater companies. In addition, you can get your foot in the door to the world of acting, and even onward into the world of movies, by doing things such as commercials (even commercials for a localized market). Whatever the legitimate opportunity may be, you can garner tremendous skills and experience in acting through practice, by taking on different roles -- no matter how seemingly small.
4. Finally, a person who is able to refine his or her skills as an actor or actress -- on the stage, on television or in the movies -- has to be willing to take risks, to stretch, to experiment. In other words, if you would to grow and succeed as an actor -- in the movies or otherwise -- you will want to try new things along the way. You will want to challenge yourself and develop your ability to take on different roles and tasks.

Step 1
Decide whether you want to be a professional actor (addressed here) or an amateur. If you want to be a professional, read on.
Step 2
Move to a major city. Eventually, New York or Los Angeles will be your destination, but as you build your resumé of experience you can work in other major metropolitan areas that have good theater or film communities.
Step 3
Enroll in acting class. Good actors study their entire lives. To choose a good class, ask trusted, successful professionals for references.
Step 4
Get a headshot (see "How to Get a Headshot," under Related eHows).
Step 5
Compose a resumé of all the work you have done so far. As your body of work grows, drop the less professional work (such as school plays) from your resumé.
Step 6
Send your headshot and resumé with a brief cover letter to all the casting directors
and agents in your area. Follow up with postcards every four to six months, updating them on your current acting projects.
Step 7
Read the trade papers regularly: "Backstage," "Dramalogue," "The Ross Reports" and "Variety," as well as online publications such as newenglandfilm.com, as appropriate. Know what is being cast where, and send headshots and notes directly to directors and producers whenever possible, requesting auditions.
Step 8
Always accept invitations to industry events and parties, and meet industry professionals whenever possible. Who you know is extremely important.
Step 9
Persevere.
