[(Short) Fan Fic SS] Family
Character & Pairing: Alde/Mu, Kiki
Cold raindrops stroke on the window panes. The air became colder and colder. Mu was sitting on sofa, a thick old book was laid on his lap, but he didn't look at it at all. In fact, he only opened it and then laid it down on his lap. An ashy grey cat was snuggling him. He purred and whimpered, wanted to be patted, but Mu ignored him.
No!? He was not a cold-hearted!
But if he pleased every fluffy cats, he would have no time to do anything else. Because there were TWENTY-ONE cats in this house!!
Fluffy Pursian, black Siamese, hybrid, even an injured cat. Of course, there were also three dogs, bird, a couple of squirrels, and two goldfish.
And where did they come from?
ALDEBARAN!!!
He was the only reason of this chaos! He always brought the stray dogs, cats and the injured little animals back home with him. Doing all the things like this house was a home-sweet-home place for every creatures. Although this house was large enough for them, but...
Mu looked at a grey-and-white cat. She, Pema, was the first cat living here. Aldebaran took her home on one could night. Mu named her and didn't think that there would be more and more coming later.
A dark-grey cat purring beside him was the newcomer. She, Nima, came here last week. And those twin cats, which only Aldebaran could tell the differences, were Hamal and Sharatan. Also another twin cats named Pollux and Caster, and many more cats and dogs. More than he could remember! The strangest thing ever was all of them lived together REALLY peacefully. There was no problem between cats and dogs appearing here.
Although it seemed to be peaceful, it was still annoying for Mu. Aldebaran seemed to love every kind of animals... more than a PERSON!
Then, what would he gonna bring today...
Mu was sitting still in the sofa, staring at the clock on the wall. Waiting for Aldebaran to arrive -- without any creatures...
It was almost eight p.m. when the door opened. The tall man walked in. He was all soaked.
"What a day?! How could I forget taking the umbrella?!" Aldebaran laughed. "I'm sorry, Mu. Am I too late? I'm really sorry."
"It's nothing. I just want you to come home without any cats." Mu said with a strange voice. He seemed so upset.
"Err..." Aldebaran hesitated for a moment, then, he pulled out something looked like a little white fur from his huge soaking jacket.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~
He almost screamed.
It was a fluffy white cat with cute amber eyes.
Well, in fact, it's 'cute' for other people but not for Mu. For him, it's another trouble-maker of this house!
"I think, Victoria might be a good name for this sweet girl, isn't it? She was abandonned from her house. Maybe she will be crashed by the car or be harmed by other animals, so I bring her here. It might be a safer place for her." Aldebaran put the puss on sofa and softly scratched her chin. Victoria seemed to enjoy it. She gave him a lovely pur. Mu was now completely angry. He shut the book close and walked away, leaving stunned Aldebaran behind.

Mu was neary reaching his bedroom when Kiki appeared from the room next to Mu's.
"Hey! Mu-sama!" Kiki called him with his always-cheerful voice. "Why do you go to bed so early tonight? I'm just thinking of asking you to play chess with me."
"No, Kiki," said Mu with his hand waving. "I'm not in mood of playing chess."
"Just argued with Alde?" Kiki gave him a mischievous smile. "About cats, right?"
Totally correct. Mu nodded slackly, "Does that guy see our house as a zoo? Why don't he sent them away?"
"Why don't you like them? I think they are really GREAT!" Kiki asked innocently "When the weather is cold, they always keep us warm. Don't you think when they sleep on our laps, it's completely warm and comfortable, not only for them but also for us. And if we feel lonely, we can play with them. That's fun!"
A kid... could only think of playing...
"And... if Alde didn't bring them here, who else would look after them? And if we sent them away, wouldn't they feel lonely?" Kiki still didn't stop asking, "I bet they really like living here and I also like them. Because they are our family." The boy smiled. "Sounds warm?"
Mu couldn't say anything. What Kiki said was quite right. He couldn't think of abandonning them. Though how much he felt annoying, but the home must be silent and lonely without those fluffy creatures...
"Agree?" Kiki smiled, liked he knew what Mu was thinking. "So, please do not get angry with Alde" Then, the boy turned back to his room, saying, "I won't disturb you more. I'm going to sleep."
Mu stood still, thinking of going to apologize Aldebaran...
Mu slowly walked down the stairs. There was no one on sofa except the pusses. The sound of water coming from the bathroom. Maybe that guy was taking a shower. Mu put Victoria on his lap, sitting on the soft sofa. The rain was still puring down, making the air colder. The kittens lied on his feet. Some brave kittens jumped up, then lazily rolled on his lap.
As Kiki had said, they were his family. And he felt... really warm.
Mu closed his eyes. He was tired and because of the sweet melody of the falling rain and lovely purr from every cats, he quickly aslept.
.
.
The cold air and soft touch of those fluffy creatures were felt no more. It was now the heavy touch of clothes and soft mattress. Mu slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on the bed with a man sitting beside him. He was...
THAT GUY! Aldebaran!
"Al... Aldebaran?!," cried Mu, "Why I'm here???"
"I saw you sleeping on the sofa, so I carried you up here. Sleeping downstair in this rainy night could make you catch a cold," replied Aldebaran softly. "And... err... well, about the cats, I'm thinking of giving them to other people..."
Mu stared at him and cried, "Giving them to other people?! Are you sure that they can take good care of them like you do?"
"Well... I... don't exactly knowl... but it seems that you don't like ---" That was all Aldebaran could say before his mouth was shut by the other. Shut --- with a kiss!
Parting their lips, Mu almost shouted, "No more talking about giving them to anyone! They are our family! They must be HERE!!!"
Aldebaran gave him a warm smile, saying, "I'm glad to know that you admit them as the family members." He embraced Mu with his strong arms. "I don't know how to thank you for your kindness," he whispered sweetly, thightening his arms around Mu.
The weather outside was still cold and the rain still poured down. But here in this house will always be warm.
As the family always brought the warmth to our heart, didn't it?
