Kanon in kimono for Rhada x Kanon game cover.

Sep 30, 2007 16:16

I'm doing a short game, both for the upcoming celebrations of Rhada's Bday as well as practice for some details of the longer game I'm making.

This pic started as practice for coloring, and I liked it in the end and ended up deciding to use as 'cover' for the game.

Pic under the cut. Rated G. )

Wow!! Very nice, Sagakure-san~~ ^___^ The way you shaded the patterns on the kimono really makes it look like its fitted over the contours of a body-- awesome! Kanon-chan looks so deceptively innocent~ how cute! ^^

This game of yours sounds pretty interesting-- are you actually going to write the code/program to make it into a playable game? (or a flash game?) That's pretty amazing to do by yourself! :D

Thanks! :D That's the idea, since without lineart one must be very careful to make sure shadows convey all the shapes. (This pic has no lineart save for a few added-afterwards lines on hands & chin etc. :D)

As for the game, hopefully it will be done on time. XD;;
I use a japanese visual novel game engine. :D
There are freeware ones. Some are the same than the ones used by game companies, and it's freeware for doujin etc and paying for companies, so it's really nice and handy.
Depending on the software you need to write more or less code and it takes more or less long, but they're nifty. :D
(I made a test game some time ago, with near-stick-figure crappy quality, you can find it somewhere in my LJ if you are inclined to look for it. It's not really worth the trouble though. XD)

Flash would probably be useful, but I don't know how to use it, and it's so expensive. ^^; So I stick to the "traditional" game engines themselves. :D

Wow, I didn't know there was software to make your own doujin game! How cool is that~~ ^__^

But seriously, drawing all the pics to make a game... that's quite an undertaking. But you're pretty prolific, judging by your website, so I'm sure you could do it. ^^I like drawing, but I don't even get around to doing it once a week sometimes. @_@;; (very undisciplined, I am... :( (And Yoda-like?! LoL~) ^^;; )

I'll definitely have to go luck up that stick figurey game some time, but I'm sure the I.T. Department would get on my case if I downloaded a doujin game on my computer at work... ^^;; LoL~ anyway, good luck with the game! Otanoshimi ni! ^^

Well, there are many different ones, not just for dojin games, some are used by the visual novel companies etc. :) It's very useful.

Practice does it, so you'll see your art progress the more you draw too. ^_^/
I just draws tons and tons because drawing is like breathing for me. XD;;

Kanon game also on my new blog. <-- direct link. :) (It's also on my LJ, but this was easier to find).

And yeah, they might not like the mysterious files. XD; *lol*

Ooh, I like your new icon! That fire clock was pretty exciting in the pretty Hades arc animation... ^^

Ah, and thanks for the link to the game! Unfortunately, every comp I use is not properly my own (i.e. work comp, my sis's comp, my dad's comp) so I don't think they'd let me download a game... ;__; (err, anyway, especially if it's a bit ecchi, I don't think I should d/l it on their comps... ^^;; ) But I'm savin' up for a new one, so hopefully I'll have it in time for your next game~ ^__^

Thanks! :D It's from a set I drew for the Aries festival this year. This icon is also from it. :)

Oh, that game is just the stick figures test game I did super fast just to test the game engine, so you only have two option points, and nothing ecchi at all happens in it. It's about Kanon being an abandoned kitten that Saga threw away in Sounion cape. XD
(Most hot scene in the game has Rhada & Kanon sitting next to each other watching the sunset, fully clothed. *lol* XD)

Yay for a new computer in the future! :D New computers are love.
