Sorry for the delay. ^^;

# LOST CANVAS Chapter 5.

Although not as movemented as some of the previous chapters (with the wonderful goldies and all), this one is also a very interesting chapter, both plot-wise and fangirly-wise. XD

Two years have passed since the last chapter, and Tenma, horribly shocked and pissed by his complete defeat and failure to protect Sasha, has been training like crazy to master his cosmo.
Due to the fact he already has awakened the cosmo, and only needed to learn to master it instead of requiring the entire learning leading to awaken it, his training went by much faster (YES! Yet another thing in Sts that makes one of my fics assumptions completely canon-accurate! XD<3 *lol*)
So, at the beginning of the chapter, we see Tenma winning his Pegasus armor, and receiving it from the Kyoukou, who gives him the mission to return to his homeland and prepare for the holy war, since the specters are regrouping right in that region of Italy.
------> Thus, we learn that Sasha and Hades' host body Aron (or Alone, nobody knows the exact spelling yet. XD *lol*) are from Italy, where is the little village where Tenma and them used to live. (It doesn't says how far from Sanctuary it is, but considering the local geography, it's not surprising that saints, especially gold ones, could get there rather easily).

------> Also, yet another very important thing: Two episodes ago, we've seen Sasha refer to Hades' host as "Aron nii-san". It turns out she wasn't just calling him that way in the usual affectionate way to call a close older guy, but....because Sasha, the current Athena incarnation, is truly his sister! O____O *shock*
We can ponder whether this is a cosmic joke of fate, or whether (more probable) Hades picked that boy for host as yet another thing against Athena, be it to sadden her or as an added handicap for her in the war.

So, Pegasus leaves for Italy again, wondering what his friend could have been doing in the near three years they spent apart while Tenma was training in Sanctuary.

Meanwhile, back in the village, Aron/Alone has been pain ting as always, but ever since his meeting with Pandora, when she revealed to him his nature as Hades and put the necklace on him (<-- It's probably also the moment when she inserted Hades' soul in his body, since until then he didn't have the necklace, and the host for Hades notmally has it from the moment Hades' soul is in them, if we compare to Shun's situation), all his paintings feel devoid of life. It is as if life had turned grey like ashes, he says.

Right when he is despairing about that, Pandora appears again before him, and they talk (of the fact that he, who is so pure and devoid of sin, is experiencing nevertheless the feeling of guilt, and Pandora tells him that there is nothing wrong with his paitings all feeling dead, since his goal in life was to create paintings so beautiful that they could redeem the souls of the sinners, and....death is after all the ultimate redemption, she says.)

Pandora then says that he seems in need of salvation himself, and offers to take him to the monastery in the forest. We've seen in previous chapters that in this monastery is stored a giant painting of an angel, so beautiful and pure that any sinner who laid eyes upon said painting would instantly regret his crimes and seek redemption. It was Aron/Alone's dream to see that paiting one day, in order to be able to paint things like that too.
We also know, that Thanatos has been passing himself for a priest/monk in that monastery (we don't know whether he was infiltrated or whether he killed everybody and took over.... or whether the monastery was fake from the start).

Either way, when Pandora and Aron/Alone arrive there, Hypnos greets them at the entry, and the great gates which had until then always been closed (the painting was forbidden to be seen by the public) are now open.
Aron enters hesitantly, and sees a strange shadow in the ground. Looking back, it is Thanatos, in his priest clothes...but the shadow showed him in his surplice. (We don't know if Aron/Alone realizes there's two of them. XD)

Aron/Alone runs into the monastery, and at the end of the corridor, finally finds the giant painting...................which turns out to be Hades, (in Aron/Alone's body), surrounded by dead people clinging to him.

After that, I'm thinking Aron/ Alone is pretty much screwed. XD;;; *lol*

----

And onto the uber fangirlish side, it would seem that the previous Kyoukou was Mu! O_O
(Well, Mu's previous incarnation).

There was wild speculation about whether it was going to be Mu or Kanon, or even Saga with Kanon being Gemini.... but since the Kyoukou has long, slick lavender/purple hair, we can only guess it must be Mu. XD

It is only normal, considering one cannot train his own reincarnation... so there must be at least two sets of gold saints, the ones currently in function and the next generation, to be trained by them, if they're not different every time.
In a flash back in Episode G, after the end of the Holy War 243 years ago, Shion & Dohko have a talk during which they say that those gold saints will return to protect Athena again should Hades return.......so this might be why they look just the same than the ones we're used to. The ones we know are the reincernations of the ones from Lost Canvas! *_*
But in our generation, since Shion was old and all, Mu is the gold saint, since he reincarnated since then.

Though I bet there are more then just two sets of them! XD<3 *thinks of poor left over Kiki*
*clings to Lost Canvas and loves that series more and more*

# NEXT DIMENSION chapter 3.

And now, for a radical surprise.... We knew already that the magazine had announced this would be a dual release, two series with the same characters and all... in this issue, they go over it again, mentioning that it is also a "multi-angle story". To which I wonder "Multi-angle? As in not told from the same viewpoint?"

....And it turns out the plot is slightly different indeed! O_o
In this chapter, we see Dohko & Shion, who were about to kill Hades, be interrupted by Tenma... but Tenma tries to attack them, and when his meteors have no effect, he looks surprised and pulls a "What?! How can it not work on you?! Who the hell are you?!" <-- Which left me going pretty much "O______O;; WHAT?! Sudden amnesia?!"
Worse yet, in the next page, it is Shion & Dohko's turn to ask him who the hell he is, and after realizing his enemies are too much for him, Tenma grabs his friend, jumps on the little donkey and runs off (I can only wonder why the 2 gold saints didn't stop them... XD).
And then, Shion declares he must be a saint too, because....when he ran, he dropped a Cloth box. XD; *lol*

So this is quite a surprise, and we can only wonder why the plot differs, while we wait to see what happens and why it is that way.
By the way, Kurumada writes the plot for both stories. XD So it's not an accident due to two authors. XD

It's possible that at some point or another, it would be revealed that the story is told from different saints' viewpoints, or something like that.
But it is also perfectly possible that for editorial reasons, caused by the fact Next Dimension = 10 pages per month at the very best, and Lost Canvas = 100 or more at the very least, that it would be virtually impossible to run both series together and not have LC get stuck at one point or another because of ND. Especially considering the way japanese mangaka proceed with plot (never developping the whole thing in advance, even when the general skeleton of the plot is imagined in advance. The detailed stuff is generally written as the story goes, thus making it dangerous for LC & ND if LC had to match ND or meet ND at the same point here or there.)

So, there are many possibilities, and I look forward to know exactly what's going on and all. :D

Either way, even if it turns out that it's just for editorial reasons that some things in the series are different, it's still Saint Seiya, and I adore it, especially Lost Canvas! :D *clings to lovely new mangas and utterly looks forward to next episodes* ^__^ ♥
