xposted to saint_seiya as part of the 100prompts. But this time I decided to put forward the shuraness before the 100-promptness and post "doubt" here before its turn to show up for the 100prompts ;)
Plenty of time
The two young men laughed and toasted again, remembering their shared childhood.
- “Those were the days.”
- “Indeed, but I’m glad they’re over. Now we’re both Saints of Athena and you can’t say I’m too young to do this or that, Aiolos.”
Shura flashed his white smile, raising a glass, when Aiolos excused himself - he had to go to Athena’s temple.
The new Capricorn Saint accompanied the older man to the doorstep of his temple and embracing him whispered in his ear “I’m glad those days are over, so we can start picking up our friendship where we left it when I went off to Spain.”
Aiolos returned the hug, but said nothing. The nagging feeling that he should go to Athena’s at once hadn’t left him, and surely he would have plenty of time to tell Shura how glad he really was to have him back. Plenty of time.
Doubt
He turned it in his hands, pensive. Aiolos had just come for a few minutes, hardly said any words at all, and then left as quickly as he had come, leaving this behind.
He wondered what it might mean, and looked towards the stairs Aiolos had just walked down. Then a ray of sun had got through the clouds of the dark December day and the stone where he was sitting had been alight. The reason didn’t matter, maybe there wasn’t even one at all.
His master would still be at the Kyoko’s for an hour or two, there was plenty of time. Shura bit down on the green apple with a smile - Nobody had ever given him a birthday present before.
