fuckin jazz
three weeks is a nice long amount of time for a break and all, and i hate to be a Complainer Stevens, but sheesh this all went mighty fast. i guess i still have the third week ahead of me which is good, but i'm simultaneously very not looking forward to going back to school and looking forward to it.
my balance on metal bed frame is good for antenna-ing my neighbors wireless internet, but a bad angle for my wrists.
i'm going to go see kurt rosenwinkel on tuesday night which is huge plus, and since i talked to him last time about me sending him a copy of my 'zhivago' transcription and him editing it, and that was like 6-12 months ago, maybe i'll bring a copy with me with a nice S.A.S.E. for the fellow.
i've started using the word fellow a lot. not fella. don't be fooled. sometimes i say 'fellow human' so people dont get confused or misled or wonder how they are fellows with me.
i've been recording pat and jim and tom in the basement and it is awesome and im looking forward to doing more and doing some in the studio with more/better/more better mics. col - pro tools doesnt have to be evil, i swear. it is just a really nice interface that can do lots of stuff and record good audio. it doesnt come with autotune even. that costs several hundred dollars out of bad singers pockets. and just becuase you can edit the shit out of stuff doesnt mean you have to. i promise. just because it has a monopoly on the recording industry and other evil things... oh nevermind.
i played a $5 3-table tournament online with krand the other night and WE took first place with a whopping $45 prize. this is nice becuase it helps continue my small stakes sit-and-go tournament profits/addiction. also a trip to the verona, ny injun casion is forthcoming, becuase the oneida nation is cooler than donald trump.
it seems as though even though i keep telling myself im not taking anymore students i may be finding myself saying a hesitant yes to 3 more, officially putting me over the 20/week status. the word no is made more difficult when you think it would be cool if everyone did play guitar.
i've just yawned. this entry has just hit its riveting climax.
i've become addicted also to internet scrabble and now when i speak (or you do), instead of picturing words in a typewriter fashion, im much more likely to be seeing them on little, square, wooden tiles and calculating (3+1+1+3+1+1+1+1+1+1+2) their (1+4+1+1+1) score values (1+3+1+1+1 4+1+1+1+1+1). haha, i just imagined doing the same thing in 4-bit binary (0011 0001 0001 0001 0001 0100) system (0001 0100 0001 0001 0001 0011) and it made me feel like a true winnerz (0100 0001 0001 0001 0001 0001 1010). also knowing that the sole purpose of adding the zee there was to use the 2^4 bit reinforced that feeling of life accomplishment.
