kids! what's the matter with kids today?
in response to the guanlet being thrown by all the awesome people in my life (and you know who you are) commenting on the awesomethings going on their lives, i have compiled a short list of the fuckingawesomethings that have been happening most recently in my life. n.b. this is a severely abbreviated list, so y'all don't feel sucky.
1. i went garagesale-ing with the one and only Jeanine and picked up a lamp which delightfully resembles in color, shape and material, a WWI helmet for the bargain basement price of $5. honestly, it was too much, but i bought it from a neighbor and she had lost her voice. i couldn't heckle a dumb woman.
2. traversed the nazi-vegan-raw-psycho-hippie farmer's market and spent way, way too much on baby greens, apple bananas (yes, apple bananas), mint lemonade which my father rightfully pointed out looked like swamp water, raw almond pate and purple basil.
3. ate at both miyako and miss saigon with my favorite eating buddies and discovered the magic vultures which service the VIP table.
4. was kidnapped by Rollie and Elaine friday and then had it made up to me via Capote on saturday. p.s. i didn't showered in between.
5. purchased a. an awesome pair of olive green pumas because i'm dumb and b. an OUTRAGEOUS pair of purple metallic flats with pointy-sticky-uppy toes cause i'm a cheap bastard
6. watched eddie izzard with my dad
7. went to see the Chihuly exhibit at Fairchild twice. aww yeah. once during the day and once at night. so awesome. amazing tropical plants, iguanas, ducks, alligators, glass art and african drumming. not to mention an amazing full moon. and it was 70 degrees.
