serious goodness: "the empty fridge delight"
equipment: toaster (optional i suppose, but detrimental to the textural experience), knife, plate or other horizontal surface e.g. desk, unread book etc.
bread: oat nut bread or whole grain healthy something, well toasted.
toppings: Shaw's Crunchy Peanut Butter and
Newman's Own Medium Peach Salsa (no, wait. stick with me, it's good.)
cut the toasted oat nut bread in half. spread peanut butter thickly on one half. spread lots of salsa on the other half. mashed two halves together. eat with a glass of water and over a plate in case of salsa dripping. enjoy!
i thought it was somewhat reminiscent of satay. so tasty.
for a more gourmet version, i can't wait to try
Peanut Better's Thai Ginger and Red Pepper Peanut Butter and sliced fresh peaches with a little sugar.
