According to HK Lempp in his article titled Perceptions of dissection by students in one medical school: beyond learning about anatomy. A qualitative study., "A number of medical schools have either removed the practical, hands-on aspect of dissection in the medical undergraduate curriculum or are seriously considering such a measure, on financial and/or human resource grounds" (i.e. people aren't donating their bodies to science at the rates they used to so there aren't enough cadavers.)
i'm just really chuffed that he called cadavers "human resources". brilliant.
