[At first all there is, is a quiet but very pronounced gasp. He looks terrible. That's so much blood... And though she doesn't know him, Mia can't find it in herself to wait for someone who does.]
[Even through the fog that seems to be covering his brain, Sannan is lucid enough to know that he doesn't know that voice. Who is it? Friend, foe, Malnosso...his first instinct is to clam up and wait for the voice to identify itself.
But she sounds safe. He can generally trust the voices that come out of the book- they're residents too, like him.]
I...[Sannan tries to look elsewhere, but it's difficult to make things out when his vision is blurred.] ...near the town?
I'm sorry...it's difficult--[He breaks off as he coughs again and reaches shakily for the book. There's some fumbling as he tries to tilt the video toward the direction of the village; the playground can be seen for a brief second.]
[It won't take her very long. She knows where the playground is, and searching the area around it is a lot easier with the help of three Mercury Djinn that can speak inside her head.
His eyes are closed when she reaches him, so she doesn't announce herself. Getting him started healing is more important, after a better look at those injuries and all that blood]
[She doesn't announce herself, but that's alright because Sannan hears her approach anyway.
He waits for a second to gather his strength and then pushes himself a little straighter before opening his eyes to a girl with bewildering blue hair- which he recognizes from the video anyway.
What does one say in this situation, anyway? He doesn't know her; should he just sit there? Be quiet? He's lost, so Sannan opts for what he knows best: be polite, even while bleeding to death.]
[He ought to listen. Once she starts with her first Pure Ply - it feels refreshing, like cool water - he probably won't want to talk anyway. ...Far too many people around here keep showing up alone and critically wounded, you know.]
[He's about to reply, but she told him to stop talking, so Sannan shuts his mouth and watches the girl with trepidation. It doesn't look like she brought anything, so what is she planning to do...?
Not being an Adept, he can't see the Psynergy, but he does certainly feel it, and he can't help but inhale sharply (which he regrets immediately, but he couldn't help it) at the sudden, unexpected sensation of water flowing across his skin, a cool rain that doesn't make sense because it's...not raining.
He wants to ask her what that was, whether she felt it too, but he's not supposed to talk. Sannan resolves to ask later.]
[It's a cool rain that is going to heal him, at least enough to stop him from bleeding to death and give him a chance to rest. Maybe to speak. She may have to cast another one first.
It's hard to see anything with all of that blood, though. Once she's sure he isn't actively bleeding anymore, she's going to wet a handkerchief (yes, she carries them in her bag) and start cleaning off his face, at the very least.]
You may tell me if I'm hurting you. You are not completely healed yet.
[That's not really a question, sir. Once his face is no longer covered in blood, and her handkerchief is, she sits back on her knees to cast another Pure Ply, and also to unleash Fizz to help her. That should be enough healing that it won't hurt to ask a few questions]
I apologize for not introducing myself. I'm Mia. And you are?
[What she hears as his first name is 'Yamanami' and it makes him sound like he comes from Izumo.]
I do. [She carries a canteen with water in it ever since the draft, and she will offer it to him now. Let's see if he can hold and drink it on his own.] Go slowly.
[He nods before accepting the canteen and taking a small, controlled drink from it; he has to resist the urge to start gulping all of it down, which sounds nice in concept, but isn't when he makes himself sick...
--the threat of which is enough to keep him to smaller sips.]
What did you do earlier? Was that--was that even you? That...[He frowns as he tries to think of the right way to describe it.] feeling.
Where are you?

[she's glad she did all that exploring so early on. It's been coming in handy.]

Does that--does that help?

Be still and don't talk.

It was just stinging. That's different.
[Because to Sannan, "hurt" means something much more than just the fleeting feeling of pain. But his answer sounds childish, even to him.
He waits through another wave of that strange, cooling sensation before clearing his throat again. (It's dry; he should ask if she has any water.)]
No, it's understandable. [He laughs weakly.] I'm Yamanami Keisuke. [pause] Do you...do you happen to have anything to drink?
