Day Six - Reversion

Jun 25, 2010 09:44

Morning was about the same as usual. I recall that I'm beginning to get sleepier even in the later hours of the morning.

Near 1:30pm, I headed up to upper stagecoach to watch supposedly epic games of Capture the Flag, assembled by the usual Manhunt planner. Only about 10 people showed up, so they decided to play hide-and-seek across the park instead. They eventually played CTF, when two more people showed up. I didn't play though, due to the sprained ankle, so I sat in the shade with Nena. I tried not to fall asleep while chilling there, haha.

After the game was done near 3:30pm, I went over to a friend's house to hang out for a bit, seeing as I really had nothing better to do. We ended up going for a short walk to the pool beside her house. We just sat and talked for a bit by the water. I explained to her (like I have with countless people already) the sleeping experiment, when I mentioned that I had a nap coming up. xP;

We went back to her house and attempted to make s'mores over her stovetop. But we ended up making only two over the flame before getting paranoid about the smoke alarm and made them in the microwave instead. We then contacted another friend to come over to the pool again. When he showed up, they both went into the water and chilled until they had raisin-prune fingers. xD I sat at a table, DJing music from my laptop. I tried to nap there poolside, but it's just hard adjusting yourself to be comfortable enough to fall asleep anywhere. I laid my head down for about 20 minutes, getting into nothing but a slight sleep paralysis.

I was dropped off back at the house around 6:30pm. I then got to get out of going to family night again to hang out with people at another park. Yay, lights~ <3

Everything up to stringing in the park has been pretty clear in my memory. I wasn't as sleepy after the 20 minute rests earlier, but they still weren't actual naps. When I got back, Rob and I discussed more modifications of the sleep experiment, contemplating going back to monophasic sleep or reverting back to Uberman. We're switching back to uberman and see how long we can hold this up before our parents notice...

Healthwise, I've been feeling pretty normal. I still have a slight cough, but I'm taking medication for that. Food hasn't really been a problem. It's in easy access so I just snack on some when I remember that I haven't eaten in like, 5 hours. Mentally, I'm still pretty apathetic towards everything. Probably why my family's sad/angry at me for wanting to be out of the house to hang with my friends...

sleep, switch, uberman
