I can bloody well do this.

As I spend my last work day of the week finishing up things such as itinerary print outs and outgoing messages for "where to call when you can't reach me" situations, I find myself somewhat ready for the race tomorrow.

6.2 miles

It's not exactly a hop, skip, prance, and jump.

I did 5 miles Sunday night, regaining my drive to do this in the first place. A couple weeks ago, I went running in a new pair of New Balances which were made for flat feet. Perhaps, my feet have shrunk or something because there's a little bit of room in them. I didn't even last one lap (1.25 miles) in these and became discouraged. Last Sunday, I forced myself to do the 5 Sunday night regaining my gumption for this race.

Again, for those interested:

Chicago, IL
8pm-ish (I'll probably be done by 9:30 or so just in time to collapse into a cab)
Grant Park (starting on Lower Hutchinson Field near Buckingham Fountain)

Apparently Dramarama have replaced Kajagoogoo in the band lineup. I guess I'll still run anyway.
