FANMIX: FIXING TO GET LOST (NYX - KIDEN NIXON)

Warnings: Implied violence, near death experience.
Notes: Minor spoilers, but nothing you wouldn't infer from the blurb. Kiden's monologue is slightly paraphrased for length, but taken directly from NYX Wannabe, part four. It's about runaway mutant teenagers.

"After that last time in the school, all I could think of doing was running. Running. Running like the stupid shit I am. No doubt I was in big trouble. I had to put it in the wind, fast. "But that shit loses its luster real fast. Still, some good came out of it. I figured out how I turned on my... my... um, thing. A little anger goes a long way. I also figured out how I turned it off. All I had to do was touch someone. So, I decided to keep it on for a while."

"After about four months of watching three days crawl by, I got bored. So, I decided to reach out and touch someone. His name was Alex, sweet kid. He was homeless too, but had a heck of a large family."

"Five months later, Alex decided he was homesick. It got me thinking about my family. Took me a couple of days to thumb back to Alphabet City. Of course the first person I ran into was my loser brother, Ty. After thinking about it for a bit I figured it was a mistake coming home."
