I dreamed a dream

First, a little context: I almost never remember my dreams. I'm sure I have dreams, because Science says I do, but they're a mystery to me. And I really like it that way.

So, I had a dream last night that The Monk and I bought a new house. And it turned out it was my parent's house. Looking around, I realized they had taken the big stuff, like furniture, but left a bunch of little stuff in drawers and cupboards. In particular, I opened up a drawer in the kitchen and found it full of wooden spoons. More wooden spoons than they really own now, for sure. And I freaked out.

In my dream, I was in a panic about what to do with these spoons. What were we going to do? Why were there so many? How would we get rid of them all? We couldn't just throw them away! What a waste! Why would my parents do this to us?

Normally, I would laugh this off in the morning. I'd be all, "No more hairspray sandwiches before bed for me!" End of story.

Instead, I'm still carrying around residual stress from worrying about a drawer-full of spoons in a dream I had. It doesn't help that I'm having a harsh day at work, but still...

Dreams are stupid.
