(no subject)
After much soul-searching and deliberation, I've changed my mind about going to Japan for leave, and instead I'm going back to Houston/Austin because it "Turns out not where but who you're with that really matters". Come to think of it, I don't think anybody I know listens to Dave Matthews much. Also, after further deliberation, I'm not going to take a wild, debaucherous journey to Las Vegas, in light of fizzboy's shining frugal example. Not only would it cost me almost my entire tax return (which is considerable), but it would be costing everyone else with the dare to come with me. Finally, I'm aborting my plan to not tell anyone and just show up in Austin on April 1st saying "April Fool's!" because then I run the risk of not knowing where anyone is that weekend and it probably wouldn't be that funny anyway.
So where is everyone gonna be on the weekend of March the 30th? I'll be just getting into the US, so I might or might not be up to driving up to Austin. Maybe flying, since then I won't have to drive, it doesn't cost that much more, and I've got a laptop to play with on the way. But if y'all happen to be in Houston, let me know. We could have a rollicking good time.
