colder today--only 50. but spring has sprung!! YEA! i saw the very first daffodil that has bloomed! it made me so happy. i hope it doesn't die in the cold weather this weekend. i love spring so much. and flowers. it's worth the crazed allergic reactions. definitely. oh boy...oh boy...ohboyohboyohboyohboy!
on an entirely different note: my friend matt that i mentioned last week is not doing very well. the surgery to remove his brain tumor was not successful--they were unable to remove all of it AND discovered that it is in fact cancerous. his family is here taking care of him and my friend sara went to visit yesterday. apparently he is unconscious due to swelling from surgery. the doctors think that with chemo he will probably be ok. it's shocking to me to think that he only found out about the tumor 2 weeks ago. i know you haven't even met this kid, but he is a very lively addition to my french class and we miss him very much. please keep him in your prayers, and i will try to remember to update when i know more.
