I want to say something similar happened with Walter Payton's son several years ago. The scholarship was essentially rejected and given to someone else. It COULD be some sort of NCAA formality that guarantees him a spot on the team, without having to take the financial side of the whole thing. But yeah, I kinda thought the same thing. It's a little hard to feel happy about this.
