Interesting quote from the podcast I was listening this morning:
"..research on happiness shows, the size of house doesn't really influence your well being, the length of your commute does so if you are smart go for a smaller house with shorter commute you'll probably afford it better anyway.."

Well, then I should be happy that I live on campus this year because it is a shorter commute with no hassel of parking. Right?
I absolutely agree with him. I know the merits of having a nice, big house with yards and everything, but a smaller house with a shorter commute would enable you to enhance your time management and maximize your productivity.
Another thought.
What if you really, really HATE your job?
-Still, a shorter commute sounds better. Think about it. Would you like a long commute to a job you absolutely abhor?
