...Of course. Thank you.

[It's quiet.]

...Sorry you had to go through that.

It was a lovely week. There's nothing to apologize for.

[Rachel is nothing but honest, after all. But she won't go into more detail unless asked.]

-=a pause as he refrains from sputtering.=-

I guess it's good you had an okay time.

-=He will admit nothing. Because admitting means there might have been something substantial for it.=-

I don't have siblings or that sort of family at home. It was nice, to experience it for a week, even if it was something of a hallucination.

-=Yet while Ed had a sibling, he forgot that Al was his brother.=-

Family is always important. Still, it doesn't excuse them from pulling this shit.

[Be prepared, Edward Elric, because something inside that talented head of Rachel Berry's just snapped.]

Then people should do something about it instead of -- of --

[She gestures to herself, trying to find a less uncouth word, but Rachel can't, so:]

Instead of just bitching about it like someone was just killed!

-=She swore. Rachel Berry just swore=-

Hey, people are working on it! It hasn't been easy, you know! But just remember that while a few are looking for the answers, the rest of us have to make certain we're strong for whatever may happen.

I know that, but it drives me insane that people are complaining over people getting along relatively well for a week when people have been murdered in the streets, it's completely barbaric!

I know I'm something of a nightmare, but being related to me or whatever else for a week surely can't have been that difficult --

[Oops. Now she's gone and made it personal. Arthur's comment stung more than it should have.

Rachel, stop being so selfish.]

... regardless of whatever happened, people should walk away from this with something more than 'I'm deeply sorry I was related to you'.

Well. That's just rude saying something like that. -=he takes family seriously, virtual or not.=-

Family is family. Doesn't matter if you're related or not.

Some people don't view such things in that way.

Then they're idiots.

That or they've never been in a situation where they've needed help only family can give.

I suppose so.

[She hasn't, really. Rachel thought she was moderately self-sufficient on the fronts where she felt it was the most important. Stardom. Talent. Proving herself worthwhile in the face of adversity.

When, in actuality, without the people around her, Rachel Berry would have no one to hear her sing.]

-=He watches her for a moment. Looks like he's going to say something. Maybe ask her if she's alright. But then at the last moment he switches tactics.=-

Forget him. He was a pompous ass before the event, so what's going to change him now, eh?

[She isn't going to ask why he knows she's upset about Arthur's statement.]

He reminds me very powerfully of someone from back home.
