potential boost in my career just came in the mail today...
So I received the official acceptance and registration package from McGill in the mail today. I had always daydreamed about receiving an acceptance to a master's program involving champagne and jubilee. I feel a bit like a spoiled brat; I've worked so hard and dreamt so much about this moment and the only reaction I've come up with is utter confusion. Leaving life up to fate is hard. Waiting is hard. Having everything fall perfectly into place is near impossible.
I was hoping the decision would be clear--like a punch in the face. You can't dispute a punch in the face.
What I have here is a really good school accepting me into a graduate program and, up until this moment, I've been looking for ways to escape it for another more costly and certainly more risky dream. The thing is, not only is this a Master's in Environmental Assessment, but this is also a program that offers a paid internship...which means that upon graduation, I'll have already worked in the field.
But then there's Australia...
I think I'm gonna have to do a lot of soul searching to figure out what's best for me. I'll update later.
