Massacre at Regent Street: Berserk officer opens fire in store.

A Terra based grocery store was plunged into chaos today as a police officer embarked on a mindless killing spree, shooting dead 13 and wounding 17 before being killed by fellow police. The shots were heard at 2:35 PM inside of the populated building. The officer had entered after informing his partner he was out of cigarettes. The man who inflicted this inexplicable violence was identified as Richard Cohen, 26.
His victims included a security guard and a child, both yet to be named.
The officer was spurred into what a survivor describes as "animal-like" rage, shouting incoherently before drawing for his pistol and shooting indiscriminately upon the people in his vicinity. Richard then run through the interior of the building, firing at the fleeing crowds before being knocked down by a security guard. Unfortunately the employee was fatally shot by the killer directly after confronting him. The gunman made no motion to respond to his partner or the officers that immediately arrived at the scene and was killed as he approached his next victim.
There is no information of any sort of provocation within the store that had prompted Richard to start his rampage, rising the likelihood this was a premeditated act. In spite of Richard's actions, his partner, Luis Bay implored to await investigation before "demonising" Cohen, who he describes as a man simply incapable of the violence he had witnessed.
Placing this incident atop the recent series of crimes, the police force will be facing futher criticism. The Deputy Chief is unavailable for a comment at this time.
