first day of school and my radio show
This past weekend was insane. I did lots of packing and cleaning. I'm going home for labor day weekend and I will be finishing up all the work i had left behind last weekend. The best part about last weekend, aside from flirting with someone i was but am once again interested again, was going out with a friend.
My friend Brent (from Frostburg State University) and I went to Dan's Rock! We took some back roads to get there and well, we made a wrong turn. I thought we were on the road where this really cool super old (from 1790's) house was, but no, we weren't. Instead, we ended up at a strip mine, which is rather common in the frostburg/western maryland area. It was a bit of a trip. we had a great out look over the town of frostburg though haha. anyways, we eventually got up to dan's rock and just hung out there for a bit and enjoyed the wind and the view. *sigh* it's good times.
I got back to UMD on sunday. On monday, I hung out with my two good friends sami and kristy. I also hung out with my roomates on Tuesday. Tuesday Night I ran into Rohan (another very awesome friend of mine) and we made plans for tomorrow night to chill at a bar in college park. (this shall be interesting!)
As for today... Well, this morning, I had my first radio show of the semester! that's right, The Alternative Breakfast Party From Hell has striked again!!! My show is from 10 am to Noon on Wednesdays. www.wmucradio.com I had a lot of fun djing stuff. This week's show was a bit strung out, because I had forgotten Cds and couldn't think of what to play! I swear next week, I shall be better.
This afternoon, I stopped by my work study job and i'm set up for the semester. It's nice to return back to ILA. I love working with them and I enjoy the things I get to do there for them. Not to mention, I might get to go to their conference in November that's being held in Chicago for free...granted I'd be working that as well.
Today was the first day of classes. I only had one class today though and it was from 415 pm to 645 pm. The class was PUAF 359W, which is Women's Leadership in Politics. My professor for the class is the former First Lady of Maryland, which is pretty fucking awesome. I'm excited about this class. After class, I went out to Marathon Deli, which is this awesome greek deli in my neighborhood. The owner gave me free dessert again. (sweet deal!) so I have to say, today was pretty good. I'm happy with life right now.

Not too shabby, eh? I'm right now taking 13 credits, but I might be getting another 1 credit class. It all depends. I think I got into this program, which requires me to take this 1 credit class. (fun right?) I'm happy that I have my radio show at the time i got it and i'm thrilled to have no classes on Fridays!
