here's a run down about everything that has happened recently.
Thursday- My mom finally got her new car. 2006 Hyundai Sonata. It totally rocks my socks. It's a very beautiful, classy looking car. It rides pretty great! I can't wait to try to drive it too.
Friday- I didn't have work that day. Nothing too huge happen during the day. That evening though, I wanted to take my parents out for dinner. Originally, we thought of going to this cool new bar and having their yummy whole wheat pizza, but my ideas totally changed that afternoon. At first, we thought of just going out of town and doing something different. While brain storming ideas, I said "how about that place we once stopped at in their parking lot to check on the car. it had a beautiful overlook and was in West Virginia." My dad knew what town it was in, so I googled it up. I found the panorama steak house in berkeley springs, west virginia, which totally made sense. I called and made "reservations." Apparently, the place changed owners and stuff since I was 12 years old. It wasn't exactly a steak house anymore or a BBQ joint. However, it was totally worth the adventure. The resturaunt is actually called Panorama at the Peak and holy crap the food was bliss. The view was great and the food was just mind melting. To say the least, I think I gave my parents a pretty great 24th wedding anniversary gift. here is the website to this amazing place:
http://www.panoramaatthepeak.com/ (btw, they have some of the best creme brule ever!)
The rest of my weekend went pretty decent. I watched a lot of CNN, because of the recent madness going on in the world. Sunday, I went to church for the first time in a long while. I heard a pretty good sermon about the royal family of Herod. It was rather enligtening. After church, my mom and i went out for "brunch" and got some decent eggs benedict. I've realized my new holy grail is to find the best places for brunch in my area! or just anywhere. I've started to become slight obsessed with brunch as a meal lol.
Monday, I didn't go to work, because my asthma was just crap. I slept for half of the day and slowly got my breath back, which was a good thing! Later that evening, I went swimming at the public pool. Walking in the heat wasn't too fun, but the nice thing is that my dad did pick me up from the pool.
As for today, I went to work and i put it about 5 hours today. I turned in my stuff to get payed. pay day is thursday! I also went to the Ears, Nose and throat specialist to find out about why i've been getting so many nose bleeds on the right side of my nose. turns out that the heat/AC system used in my apartment at school has caused that side of my nose to lose moisture. it's a rather common thing to happen to college students. As treatment for a month, I have to sleep with a vaporizer on. I have to use the vaporizer when i go to school as well. After work, I went swimming again. Instead this time, i went with my mom, my sister and my sister's friend. Later on, I went out for dinner with my parents. It was too hot to cook. lesson learned from that... Ruby Tuesday's is the worst. don't go there. When I got home, I went over to my neighbor's house and let their doggy out. he's a beagle named cinco. he's a very sweet dog. dog sitting is kinda fun ya know.
In other news... I discovered this amazing event happening in September called the Virgin Festival.
www.virginfestival.com I would soo go to this, but the tickets are a bit much for my blood. I'd rather go see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers who are also playing with the Allman Brothers Band. (that's in august and yes i think i'm going to that) Being the crazy music journalist I am, I am hoping to maybe do press at this festival. Why pay to go when you can work at it? lol.
As for tomorrow, I am getting my lovely wisdom teeth removed finally. It's hard to tell when I will be back online. So if you don't hear from me for a little bit, don't worry. I will be back and I can tell you all about how things went.
Until then, remember this... 5 days until my 21st birthday haha. really though until then, take care and keep it real!
