And now some late night news...
last night, JD Fortune won Rockstar: INXS. and yes, i knew he was going to get it since the 3rd week of the show. He has a very cool voice and it reminds me of michael hutchense. another thing, he grew up a hardcore inxs fan, so it's good someone won the job who deserves it! for now, i can't wait for the new cd to come out and for their winter tour. also, i can't believe i followed a reality tv show for its total run (11 or 12 weeks...i lost count), i'm going to miss the show actually. i find rockstars a little more fascinating than people stuck in the middle of nowhere bitching it about being miserable. haha.
this past weekend, i spent friday night in dupont circle with my good friend steven. we had the late night munchies while hanging out and so we ate at this charming place called kramer's books and cafe. they're open pretty late during the week and 24 hours on the weekends. decently price and totally awesome. good food and punk music and books is heaven (haha). saturday, i went to the umd vs. wvu game. and i was right wvu kicked umd's ass. and just so everyone knows, i love both schools, but then they go against each other, i'm all about 'em mountaineers. in fact, i spent the most of the last half up in the wvu section. (i sat with some people from my mom's work actually) best part of the game was either seeing testudo, hearing the mountaineer set his gun off or singing "country roads" at the end of the game. as for sunday, i did laundry and that was good.
now for something a little more current, I am now a dj for WMUC radio. However, because of time restraints, i'm going to be a fill in dj for this semster and then have an offical show in the spring. (i'd rather do fill in than work the 3 to 6 am shift, which btw is on the days i have my 8 am class... so wouldn't work!) but i will keep you all posted, when i might be on the air :)
for this weekend, i'm going to ocean city with lutheran student association. i'm looking forward to that. 1. beach! 2. never been to ocean city 3.it's good to leave town sometimes 4. something different and spiritual.
