The boy left the room and the Kyoko settled down to re-read the note that laid on his table. It had reached his chambers two weeks ago and he had read it often in that time, pondering.
“I have waited, as you suggested, my Lord. But now I am certain of what I say, Jamian is not well. There is something odd, something… broken in his mind. It’s as if he was lacking something rational, a bit of what makes us humans. He reminds me… of them. He doesn’t belong in Sanctuary, I am sure now. I respectfully advise he be sent away.

He knew what Jamian’s mind lacked, and what it had in abundance. The spirit of the bird could be very aggressive if it felt threatened, and now he was sure Jamian had more of that primitive mind than he had the human’s usual synapses. Yes, the child’s mind was broken, and he would make sure to use that to his own advantage. Claw’s life would be a small prize to pay.
