Among my least fav, but work is getting demanding these last few days. Ahh, love "this is shite" disclaimers :E
O48 - Diamond
- I know you’re used to keeping to yourselves, and I would like to thank you all for being here, silently, in this gathering.
Mu shifts his weight, uneasily, from his hiding position behind the columns. Athena’s behavior has been getting odder, and this… this is more than unusual. It’s… wrong.
- After all, I know your existences must be hard. You go through so much, and once the entire struggle is over - what do you get? A box! True, you get to shine and be admired by many, but is it worth it, to leave the land where you first saw the light? I’ve set up this to make my gratitude known. You’re the best there is, and I doubt you’ve received the appreciation you deserve.
Even Tatsumi whimpers now, he’s defended his lady’s peculiarities for long but this speech is more than even he can digest. He feels more than sees the disapproving glares from Mu, the gold saint holds him at least partially responsible for this inappropriate display. But what can he do?
This is the same question he repeats to the Aries Saint after both slip away, unnoticed.
- What could I have possibly done?
- Tatsumi, please! She’s the goddess of war and wisdom! She cannot conduct herself like this, not in private …even less even in public! If you had raised her right she would not be like she is.
Tatsumi shakes his head, lost between confusion and anger. Surely things may be a bit overblown, but the lady’s arguments are right: they are after all special, are they not?
- Not like this…Appreciative, you mean?
- Spoilt, Tatsumi, spoilt! Just look!
Tatsumi’s eyes look over to where Saori is still busy delivering her speech, her collection of diamonds spread out in front of her. Truly, they did not seem to be a very enthusiastic audience.
