001 - beginnings
- Are you sure we can’t come to an agreement?
The other man shook his head, running a hand over the huge axe he carried on his belt.
- I didn’t hear no nothing ‘bout agreements, Alberich. So get your ass in gear, there ay a load of trees thay need to be chopp’d down to clear the road.
Alberich slumped under the weight of the axe Tor handed to him. That bitch queen would hear a thing or two, using her divine warriors for maintenance work wasn’t right -labor shortage or not. Tonight at dinner, he’d give her a piece of his mind. And that would just be the beginning.
002 - Middles
Athena fell on her chair, numb. It couldn’t be true.
- “What do you mean a middle one?”
- “Yes, m’lady. There is no doubt, we’ve double-checked.” Mu bowed respectfully, he was sure of the news he brought.
- “We didn’t triple check, though… should we?”
Athena shot a poisonous glance at Deathmask, who just shrugged and giggled. Her head hurt just of thinking about all the possible disasters this may bring on Sanctuary.
There was a third one... if dealing with Kanon and Saga wasn’t enough, now it turned out there was a third one!
- “And, Mu, you said the triplet who’s at the door is…?”
- “The middle one, my lady. He wants a Temple, and a Cloth also”
- “Is he… is he… normal?”
Deathmask’s giggles turned into guffaws.
- “Normal? Milady, he’s crazy as a bunch of bananas. That’s what convinced us beyond any doubt that he’s one of them. And you did say you’d open your arms to the Gemini brothers, so let me introduce him”
003- Ends
- So this is it.
- Yeah, who would have thought that it would come down to us two. Not me, that’s for sure.
- Me neither, I never thought you’d make it this far, but you did. So this is the end.
Shun nodded gravely, and struggled to regain solid foot. When everything started he didn’t think he would be the last one standing, but he was. And now it was his responsibility, all the bronze saints were counting on him, he could hear their broken cries of support from where they laid, sprawled on the ground. This was the end, him against the last of the gold saints.
Then Shura raised his hand and brought it down suddenly, gulping the wine fast. And Shun wondered again if them bronze saints would ever win the yearly drinking contest.
