Challenge 5
Character: well, you'd just have to find out...
The sun streamed into her room, waking her. She winced, not wanting to open her eyes, knowing what she would see if she did. Then her day will be ruined. It is inevitable, but she still clings onto the childish hope that if she closed her eyes for a little longer she could keep her light-hearted mood for a little longer. And yet the thick, heavy feeling has already started to settle in her heart.
No longer able to escape in her bed pretending nothing has happened, she got up. Still keeping her eyes tightly shut until she reached the safety of her bathroom, she sighed releif when she knew that *it* is now out of sight.
She opened her eyes, only to stare into her own face.
Critically, she moved her eyes down from her head to her waist, hating and loving her body.
The body that is beautiful, the body that allowed her to do whateer she wanted, the body of a rich prima donna.
The body that made her weak, the body that could not fight, the body that trapped the power inside her.
She is two people. A mortal and an immortal, a Goddess and a girl. They hated each other. One of them has to die in order for her mind to survive.
Feeling the enormous sense of duty swell up in her heart, she slowly buried her bead in her hands and cried.
I'm so, so sorry, Saori. I' failed you. I couldn't save you...You simply have to die.
Taking a deep breath, the mauve-haired Goddess stepped out of her little sanctuary back into her bedroom. Right in front of her, outside the window, is a giant statue of herself.
She who did not die.
She no longer struggeled. She is no longer afriad.
Ravyn's blah blah--they say failing and success are imtimately linked hey? Well..maybe not...but I say. So there. (lol)
