043 - Square

Milo had to wait for his eyes to adjust to the darkness to catch the figure huddled against the corner. The young man was nothing more than part of the shadows of the room.

“The traitor’s body will be buried once the sun rises. Your presence is requested there.”

As there was no reaction from the other man, Milo stepped forward and saw Aioria burying his face deeper into his arms. The Scorpio Saint gritted his teeth, but was unable to stop himself from speaking.

“Have some dignity! With your brother considered a traitor, you have to prove yourself to be a Saint worthy of Athena.”

In response, Aioria’s cosmo surged. The air around them changed, growing warmer as the sounds of something creaking and snapping surrounded Milo. His right hand jolted after an electrical charge reached him.

“Stop, Leo. I won’t fight with someone in such a state.”

Milo didn’t wait for Aioria’s cosmo to relent. He put on his helmet and retreated, feeling an even greater surge of energy right behind him.

The blast was released less than a second later, on the wall in front of Aioria. It collapsed with a heavy sound, destroying the square shape of the room. Beyond the now ruined entrance stood Milo, his hands raised on a defensive stance.

Only when the cosmo diminished did the Scorpio Saint leave. Right after, the Saint of Leo walked out of Aiolos’ room.

044 - Circle

The world spun as his legs gave in and he collapsed to the ground, his body a dead weight that he couldn’t support any longer. He heard the distant voices of his brothers in arms, but they disappeared from his line of vision as they too fell, exhausted.

With his fists clenched, he obliged himself to stand up and barely managed to get on his knees. Through his blurred vision he tried to find out where they were. The answer felt like the last weight he could stand and his body gave in, his eyes wide open as he took one last look at his unbelievable surroundings.

Shaka clasped his hands together, the sound ending the illusion. His opponents, lying defeated on the floor, still believed to be running in circles on the palm of Buddha.
