Day 23
I woke up to the sound of a scream. Of course, that was not uncommon in the neighborhood I settled into for the time being. It wasn’t as dilapidated as my homeland, but it wasn’t nearly the ritzy nobles quarters I had hoped to settle down in. I stood and walked to the other end of the room, where the last of my possessions had been stowed away underneath a loose floor board.

I have been squatting in this dump for a few weeks now, trying to find a decent income and start over. Of course, with nothing but the clothes on your back, it’s hard to start over. I had at one time a very nice array of armament and armor, as well as a fat purse to go along. Those were stolen the first week I was here. Perhaps I had been to careless with the way I threw my money around, because I certainly drew some unwanted attention.

I awoke one morning in a puddle of blood, with naught but my manhood to accompany me. It didn’t take me long to find an abandoned shack and a pair of rags from the previous corpse who had once lived there. They would do, until I could afford some new ones. And that is where I stand today.

Day 27
I gave in to temptation today. It was not uncommon to see her type at the inn, but what was uncommon was the degree of jewelry she wore. Real jewelry, not like that glass junk the common whores wore. It only took a couple silver to lure her to my home, if you could call it that. I now look down now at her corpse and am filled with a hatred of myself. I came to start anew, and this is not the way to go about it. Soon someone will notice her missing, if she were but a common whore, it would be different. But no, this was a nobles daughter. The jewels and accent, the etiquette about her, it was all a tell tale sign, but in my bloodlust, I saw none of it.

One the plus size, my purse has swelled, and the jewelry should fetch enough to start me off again. This girl had a name and she had a life. She had a home and a loved one. She had also made a mistake. She trusted me.

I will burn the house at midnight, along with the girl. Perhaps the next town will hold more promise…

Day 32
I’ve outfitted myself quite nicely. A new overcoat and some goggles, a thick pair of mechanics boots, all topped off with a shiny new cryxian dirk. Perhaps life is finally smiling on me, of course, it won’t be smiling to much longer when I get that itch. There’s just only one way to scratch it, and it ain’t pretty. Perhaps I can hold out a bit longer now, perhaps I can make an honest earning…

Day 34
Fuck settling down. Where’s the fun in that? I think I will go on an adventure, perhaps rob some nobles, or even massacre a caravan. I am getting bored with this life already. I could do something different this time, and maybe stop some thieves, or retrieve a valuable item. Who knows? Tomorrow will hold a thousand possibilities, and I will make sure to benefit from each one. At midnight, I will burn the house and the three guards corpses. Oh well, better luck next time…
---------------

Well I hoped you all liked it, it is essentially the introduction to my character for Johns Iron Kingdoms Campaign, which starts tonight.

Everything has been fine, I miss Laura consistantly, but it just means our love is still alive and growing with anticipation. She apologized for the issue that had bothered me most, and I felt so good that she even realized it, it kinda made the problem seem insignificant. Memorial weekend this weekend, I've got some plans going on with friends, but I will find some time to see her for a little, even if just for an afternoon or two.

The Saviors Tourney was a bust. On one hand, we lost horribly. On the second, our cards handed to us had 2 Cranials and a Twincast (blue fork). Thus, $50 dollars in cards right there made the loss seem unnoticable. I'm down to 14 cards for my foil set and I'm psyched. I got alot and dropped alot in the trade area, but I think I did the best. The judge used our packaged cards as an example on the perfect way to keep them for the Tourney helpers to pick up, it was cool, ya know, being a good example :D I made alot of friends sort of, as in, I don't know their names but they helped me out and I them. I will see them again, I already saw a ton of guys from Blue Dragon that I knew, as well as some from the 1.5 Lotus Tourney, and even the Betrayers Release, sweet eh?

Everything is going good at the moment, I'm going to carmalot for the D&D and to talk to Todd about hosting Arena League, FNM, and Release Events. He's giving me control over dealing with the Wizards Reps, and I talked to some people from Oxford who will be emailing me some info on how to get ahold of the better of the reps who will definately help out. So w00t!

Kev's van broke down on the way to the Renaissance Center, wow, the ghettos neighborhood we fell into. Someone offered us an Opened Face CD player... He also made note that he had a van parked down the street... This is a good lesson to put oil into your vehicle, especially when the light has been on for over a week. With some coaxing and two more stops to cool down (after putting oil in) we made it to the Ren Center. The way back was much similar, but Joel followed us and stopped with us. So it was fun, we all made out I guess, Joel got the 2 Cranials, fine by me, I just wish I coulda got Twincast (sigh) but Kev did so oh well, I got the bust of the deal but I'm still pretty happy. I mean, my car doesnt have a rod knock like kevs van :(

Well thats about it, Im about to finish up my office work and head home to change. My birthday is commin up so if anyone wants to give me a call about my party arangements, please do so, everyone is invited.
