The Horizon

Hello again, it's Sunday. I had a feeling yesterday that it would come today, sunday that is... enough for the silliness :P

Carmalot wasn't to bad thursday, 12 people, we did team chaos, 2 teams of 6. Unfortunately my two ensnaring bridges held the game to a standstill since turn 5. How sad, six opponents and none had artifact hate. We won thanks to Randy and Joel. Hoel saved my ass in early game and had counter support to save my bridge and Randy delivered a kill while I kept the opponents locked. After Taco Bell, Laura and I went to Robs for Euchre with Erica, Rob, Dane, and Ryan Listerman, I hadn't seen two of those people since 10th grade. Unfortunately, Lauras sister needed us to go pick Adrian up at her moms in Sterling Heights, so she could spend the night. I spent the night at Laura's thursday, and it was once again, amazing. I couldn't expect any less at this point. Her sister was being a bitch (in her actions) to Laura, but I have to idly stand by while she is insulted and whatnot, it boils my blood at times. Friday we hung out all day and then I took her out to dinner at the Blind Fish in lapeer. It was good food and a nice place, but we got some Doggie bags and went to my place where we watched Catwoman and A Series of Unfortunate Events. Both were pretty decent movies, Jim Carrey is a versatile and amazing actor, his character was great.

Checking the clock after the movie revealed that Laura wouldn't get home til 12:30, an hour and half after he Sisters set curfew. I'm sorry, but having your little sister in charge of your life is just so stupid on her families behalf. But again, I must sit idly by while the woman I love is trampled on by her family. Again, it boils my blood.

Last night I went to the Red Dragon Kamigawa draft, and I came in 2nd of 6. Not to bad I guess, seeing as how the first place went undefeated aside from my 1 game victory. But he still took the match. He drafted 7 Black rare creatures, an amazing feat in draft, but it was a 6 booster draft so it was even more probable, but still highly unlikely. Second place prize was a booster and 3 picks of 1.50 rares from their case. The prize sucked and was hardly worth it, aside from the victories I pulled in against Jon. I did great on my trading though and made about 30 dollar trade profit, not to bad. I did drop a couple Wraths, and Academy, and the rest of my unhinged lands, but oh well. I'm down to somewhere around 25 cards for my Champions foil set, and wow, its been a long and exciting quest, but one I shall soon fulfill. Then to Betrayers, and Saviors. Who knows, I might just keep going on with Ravnica :D

I bought a dozen roses for Laura, as I was hoping our plans for dinner Saturday night with her father would go through. But they did not, and instead, I wasn't allowed to come over. So I called up Rob and decided to head to Canada with him, Dane, and Kevin. I dropped the flowers off at Lauras, more so just to see her, even if for a few minutes. Her sister came home just as I had put my arms around her, so that signalled my leave. Oh well, at least I got to see her :D

Canada was fun, I drank four beers and gambled 50 bucks away. We all lost, but Kev, who made 30 dollahs american, so that was sweet. Just drinking in public was so cool, we were telling stories and jokes in the smoking lounge, killing time before our next challenge. Crossing the border drunk. You are not allowed to do so now as a minor, so we all put on our poker faces, chewed alot of gum, and did our best not to get searched.

"State your Residence"
"U.S." said Kevin
"And where are you comming from"
"Canada" said Kevin... we all stifled our laughter.
"Did you visit the Duty free?"
"Excuse me?" Asked Kevin
"The duty free, did you stop there"
"Ummm" Thought Kevin...
"No" Said Robert
"Roll down your windows"

We through our I.D. to him and he checked the truck a bit, but we got the clear and onto our next location, Deja Vue, the Strip club. It wasn't a bad place, 10 bucks entry and free drinks. The girls were attractive but I couldnt help but think of Laura the whole time, during the first girl, I got up and left, calling her outside. We talked for an hour before I went back in. We stayed for another hour and decided to head out. The girls were going around giving lap dances and whatnot so there was a good twenty minute recess infront of us anyways.

The whole time we were there, there was another group of teens infront, just three of them. The stripper kept sitting down and talking to this one, and soon, as the girls all went to the audience for lapdances and whatnot, his two friends each got up with different girls and went to the booths in the back. I got up and went to him and said, Hey bud, why aint you gettin a lap dance. He laughed and said he was broke. So I threw him some cash and we shook hands. He got up to go to a girl and I turned to Kevin and said, Lets go. And so that was that :D

We all headed to Mikes house to drink and shoot pool, play euchre and whatnot. It was fun for the most part, just chillin and drinking. Some asshole took my phone and called Laura, it was around 2:20 am so I was all apologizing. Again baby, I'm sorry... Oh I so wanted to beat his ass, but he was pretty hammered, and we all do stupid things while hammered. had he drove, the air would be let out of his tires, but alas, we all soon split and headed to our respectful vehicles at Robs, and then home.

Well it's Sunday, and I cleaned a little for the folks, they just two-wayed me and should be home in 3 hours. I liked being alone, but I didn't care to much about watering the plants and whatnot. I was gone a good majority of the time, and spent three nights at Lauras so it wouldn't have been to different if they were here.

Next week is Saviors prerelease, with Joel, kev and myself on a team. It should be interesting, and I'll be looking forward to it. Everyone have a good one and take it easy, need anything? Give me a call.
