Off to Portland
Okay - so tomorrow I am traveling to Portland on business (which means I may never see the city in daylight -- yippee!! (Not!). My poor brain at the moment is refusing to focus on anything related to work.
My airline is limiting luggage to 1 checked bag and a $80 overweight fee if its 1 pound over 50. Really irks me. Yes, I know, Fuel surcharge. Still. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......
On another note - I am going to try and download video off my DVR and onto my PC and then convert it to MPEG4 so I can watch my favorites on my Powerbook or iPod on the plane. Not sure my old video capture card can handle it though. And then there is the nasty securom software on my PC that I haven't gotten around deleting and making the registry edits to remove, so my DVD burner might not burn the files to DVDs for transfer. I would use my flash drive, but apparently my PC now hates them and quite literally fries them - lost a lovely 8MB flash drive (two actually) that way already. I blame securom for this too...
Okay, done babbling. Off to get lunch and I will (attempt) to do something productive today...
