Let's start at the beginning....
So, it's March break, and I've had this journal for a few months now.
Naturally, being the massive procrastinator I am, I haven't actually posted on it.
I've been playing with the idea for a while, but now is the time for action, rather than useless thoughts that don't actually accomplish my goals (although it would be convenient if I had mind-powers like that). Having not too much else to do for a few hours, I decided to get my butt in gear and WRITE SOMETHING. That is, after-all, the reason for this site, non?
Alright, a quick background check on yours truly.
My name is Robynne, but I go by Sox on the net. So you can call me any variation of the two. Really, you can call me anything, but I'd be far more apt to reply to the first two.
I am sixteen. I can't drive yet, as I haven't taken my test for my license, but I'll let you guys know when I have so you can get off the roads! Nah, I'm sure I'll be a fine driver. Maybe. I hope.
I live in Canada, within an hour's range of Toronto, Ontario.
I USED to be a hardcore tomboy, but... kinda getting out of it. I have developed a crush =0, and it's broken all my defenses down and left me quite confused and unsure of what the heck is going on. I'm trying to hold onto my reputation as a tough cookie, but when I'm freaking out every time I see Jack Davenport (oh yeah, I got it bad), it's a bit difficult to get people to take me seriously. I'll still never become a GIRLY GIRL, but I've progressed to the point that I will admit people are attractive. And sometimes, that they're REALLY attractive. I don't really do /hot/, though. It's just... not a word I use for fear of being scorned and mocked forever.
I play sports, but I play hockey on a team. Actually, a bunch of different teams this year. I'm the goalie, so I frequently get battered with disks of vulcanized rubber. Fun for me, right!? I like it though. ^^" I also like snowboarding, and football (<--- playing, not watching so much), and I probably won't shy away from any other game if you ask me to play. Except, I don't like dodgeball. I always move TOWARDS the ball to try to block it, instead of fleeing from it. Presto, a losing strategy. It's good to be the goalie sometimes. xP
Oh, I use internet smiley faces far too often, I've found. So, be prepared for an onslaught of xD xP =0 =( oO' ^^' and other such wonderful incarnations.
I like to write. A lot. Rp, fanfiction, and occasionally original fiction, I love it all. I'm horrible at starting fanfics and never finishing them, because I'm always so busy with my rps. But I've decided that my next fanfic, I'm writing the whole thing before posting it so I can't possibly get into trouble. Haha.
I also like photoshop (especially of Jack Davenport ^^"), and drawing, and reading. Devour books likewoah. Movies are great, t.v. shows only score big if they can actually keep my attention for more than a few episodes. House M.D. is what I watch... not too much else. Except for the occasional Saturday morning cartoon with my brothers (I have three, all younger!).
I... get really obsessed with things. I dunno why, but once I like it, the like just grows and grows until finally I'm like 'WOAH! I'm way obsessed!'
Right now, Sweeney Todd is the new one on the way up, with Johnny Depp definitely mixed in there. (I kinda missed the whole Jack Sparrow fan craze, but I've definitely found myself thinking Johnny is amazing in Sweeney Todd.)
I'm also perpetually liking James Norrington, even though it's sometimes a love/hate relationship for him being the reason I fell from my pedestal of tomboyishness and immunity to fangirling. It was all his fault. But he just rocks.
