Growing up

Nov 21, 2009 20:33

A few nights ago, I was almost asleep... when I began laughing uproariously.

Cut for personal reflection. )

Sean Montgomery likes this. :)

I agree that regret is a feeling best avoided. It implies a desire to change the past - which we can't do. All we can do is learn from experience and change our future. Coming to know oneself is a big part of the process of growing up, and it is liberating to see yourself as the author of your own fate, rather than as a victim of it.

Hooray for epiphanies and being able to let go of the past!

I'm really glad you had yours. :-) *hugs*

I feel comfortable saying this ONLY because I'm pretty sure you didn't take it out on me in any way shape or form:
Anyone you were unkind to; you should go out of your way to be nice to henceforth. You may even have to seek 'em out.

I know that sounds obvious, and I'm sure you would have (or even probably already did) come up with that thought yourself. Maybe sooner, maybe later. I'm only sayin' it just in case.

Love, and stuff.
