Gravitation Track #76 Japanese

OMGWTFBBQ!!!oneone After eight months, Murakami-sensei has finally started working on Gravitation EX again. And forget those little 4 or 5 page tracks she's put out in the past, this one is 33 pages long! And the art is just gorgeous! I must say, Eiri looks like a walking pile of sex all throughout this new track *_* But we've been waiting long enough for this, so I'll stop babbling and get right to the summary!

We start out with the title page, with a picture of Shuuichi looking refreshingly less shota-fied than usual....and also the wrong track number :P (this is Track 76, but the cover page says Track 75....I wonder if this will be fixed, or if the tracks will stay one number off for the rest of the webcomic's run). But I digress....

The story starts out with a nervous photographer giving direction to Eiri, telling him to just relax and give him a nice smile as he does a camera test. Eiri thinks for a minute, and gives a smile (which we don't get to fully see :() that is apparently so beautiful it gives all of the crew massive nosebleeds, and they are unable to continue the shoot. Hiro is surprised that Eiri is more photogenic than expected, and Suguru comments on how adding Eiri into the group will surely up their exposure level, and seems impressed that Eiri is going through with this even though he hates publicity. Shuuichi (who apparently has a spiritual form running around that can see everything that's happening), yells at them to stop making Eiri do this, since he's a novelist, not a performer like them, so it's not right to make him have to sing songs and such. Ryuuichi tells Shuuichi to calm down, since no one else can see or hear them anyway (so Ryuuichi also has a spirit form running around? o_O I is confused....)

Back in Shuuichi's hospital room, Spirit-Shuu violently shakes Coma-Shuu, yelling at himself to wake up and explain what's going on. Maiko, still at Shuuichi's bedside, can see that Coma-Shuu seems to be struggling and tells him to hold on. Spirit-Shuu tries talking to Maiko, but she can't hear him. Spirit-Ryuu suggests that pummeling Shuuichi with rocks again might shock him out of his coma, and Maiko once again witnesses her brother being beaten senseless by unseen forces. Shuuichi tells Ryuuichi not to kill his body, otherwise his spirit will have nowhere to go back to. Shuuichi asks if he expects him to possess Kumagorou or something, which Ryuuichi takes not as a joke but as a great idea ^_^;; Eiri walks into the room saying "What, you're not dead yet?" and Spirit-Shuu can't believe he would say something like that. Maiko thanks Eiri for coming to visit her brother even though he's stupid and lazy and uneducated and etc....Spirit-Shuu says that though he can't deny those things, it's awfully cruel for her to talk about him that way while he's in a coma. Eiri talks about how he won't be able to take care of Shuuichi, and that he would most likely be taken home to stay with Maiko and their parents. Spirit-Shuu is opposed to this, saying he wants to be by Eiri's side when he dies. Maiko says that she doesn't think Shuuichi would want to be separated from Eiri, and also thinks that Eiri will be the one who will be able to wake Shuuichi up, so she's not going to take him home with her. Eiri thanks her for not taking him away, saying that Shuuichi is his light (so sweet....and in this shot you can see the wedding band looking ring on his left ring finger, which I don't think we've seen for quite awhile). Spirit-Shuu is happy that he's not just a hole to Eiri ^_^

Outside the room, Ryuuichi (the serious version) is listening to the conversation inside and comments on how that's just the kind of line he'd expect from a romance novelist. He doesn't care if Eiri wants Shuuichi to be his light, as long as Shuuichi's voice belongs to him. Spirit-Ryuu is also there (uh....OK), and he says it's weird to just want his voice and nothing else. Serious-Ryuu says he's not interested in anything else. Spirit-Ryuu says he needs to stop being mean to people and wake up. Serious-Ryuu refuses, and says that he doesn't need the other Ryuuichi, that his body is fine with just him, and the other Ryuuichi should stop getting in his way.

Back inside, Spirit-Shuu comments on how he thought he heard Ryuuichi talking to someone outside, though the voices of both participants were the same. Eiri appears to reply to him, making Shuuichi think that Eiri might have heard him, but Eiri comments that he must be hearing things. Suddenly, K bursts in saying that Bad Luck is about to have a live TV appearance, so they've got to get going. Hiro yells that he shouldn't have accepted an offer like that, since Eiri has only had a camera test so far (and, as you recall, not even a successful one). Suguru pulls out a gun a shoots Hiro repeatedly (damn....apparently the boy grew balls sometime), saying that he's happy that they have actual work for the first time in quite a while. Hiro comments on how Suguru was such a nice boy boy before, and now has become so rough. K blames it on his surroundings, saying "Fuck Japan" (with "fuck" written out in English). Eiri asks if they're seriously going to go on TV all of a sudden, and Suguru says that Eiri promised he was going to take responsibility for Shuuichi's duties, so no matter what they just need to get him on TV, even if he just sits in a chair without saying anything (seems Suguru sees this as a big publicity stunt to raise Bad Luck's popularity). It seems the media has heard about what's going on, and Ark is going to take care of the reporters so they can get to the studio. K (in his helicopter) relays a message from Touma, who assures Eiri he won't have to do much during the appearance, and so Eiri agrees to appear on TV. Spirit-Shuu, meanwhile, is opposed to this whole thing.

And so, Bad Luck appears on TV, with Eiri as their front man. The audience is all in awe that Eiri is really appearing with Bad Luck in place of Shuuichi. Meanwhile, Hiro wonders what they're doing on stage when they were told that all Eiri was supposed to do for this show was sit in a chair and not say anything. K talks to a producer about this, saying that they were promised that Eiri wouldn't have to do much, but the producer says there's no evidence of any such promise, and he only seems to care about how high the ratings will be. Hiro realizes that the version of their song being played is one that doesn't have the vocals inserted, meaning Eiri will have to sing. Hiro wonders what K was thinking, but Spirit-Shuu realizes that this arrangement wasn't K's doing. On stage, Eiri goes "ahhhhh" into the microphone, and Hiro and Suguru quickly stop him. He says that he doesn't mind if they use him to raise their popularity, and though he can't sing like Shuuichi, he'll try his best. This leads to a flood of nosebleeds from the audience. Hiro and Suguru figure it's OK to let him sing, and since he seems confident about it he must have some skill at singing. But Spirit-Shuu knows the truth about Eiri's singing ability. Eiri begins his performance....

After the show, back in Shuuichi's hospital room, Eiri uses Coma-Shuu as a footrest. Spirit-Shuu comments on how he didn't think Eiri hadn't realized before now, but now everyone knows he's totally tone deaf. Eiri says that he should have told him something that important sooner. Spirit-Shuu realizes that Eiri can hear him after all, and is relieved that he still exists. Eiri says he could call Tatsuha to come do an exorcism, and Shuuichi seems happy that he'll be able to return to his body, but Eiri says that Tatsuha would probably kill him in the attempt. Eiri wonders why Shuuichi won't come out of it; even though he was trying so hard for him, he still remained sleeping and was being a burden to everyone. He begins dangling prayer beads over Coma-Shuu, and Spirit-Shuu freaks out, wondering if he's trying to make his spirit pass on. Eiri asks if Shuuichi really thinks that he can't see, and wonders what he would do if he said the whole thing was a lie. Shuuichi thinks about how it seemed weird that there wasn't really any evidence that he had been blind, and there was no reason not to believe someone if they said they couldn't see. Spirit-Shuu finally returns to his body, to which Eiri says, "Oh, you're awake." Shuuichi asks if what Eiri said was true, and Eiri says that yes, Tatsuha has dealt with spirits before, and Shuuichi says that's not what he was asking about. Shuuichi says he doesn't care about why Eiri said he was blind, and he doesn't understand complicated things, he just loves Eiri's face more than anything in the world. Eiri comments on how saying that makes Shuuichi the most stupid, honest guy in the world. Shuuichi says he should at least apologize since he was the cause of all of this, and Eiri responds by kissing him in a very cute and flirty manner. Eiri notices that Shuuichi seems quite excited, and says it seems he needs a deeper apology, or maybe he just has morning wood. Shuuichi says that seeing the person he loves dressed up in sexy clothes with hot hair and makeup, it's only natural that he would get hard. Then he realizes that Eiri was shown on TV like that, and yells how it's not fair that everyone got to see him that way. Eiri doesn't really seem to care, and comments on how Shuuichi seems lively, and we basically get a "fade to black" before we get to see any hot, manly sex :P

So....woah, a lot of stuff going on in here. Ryuuichi always seemed to have two distinct personalities, but one of them is a wandering spirit that can interact with other wandering spirits? And Eiri was faking his blindness? Wha? Maybe Shuuichi doesn't care to know the answer, but I sure as hell want to know why he would do that. Perhaps it was some sort of test to see if Shuuichi would care enough to stay with him? Maybe we'll get some explanations next month (if Murakami-sensei doesn't skip out on us for eight months again, that is :P).

Anyway, here's all the beautiful, sexy pictures:
