I lost 20 lbs since my last entry!
I don't know if that's supposed to be a good thing or a bad one. It was definitely not a painless way to go. It involves very hard gas and diarrhea due to a bad side effect of Gabapentin, one of the three prescription drugs I'm taking as pain control for my SI & LS joint issues. Celebrex, the other drug, causes headaches and dizziness for its side effects. The third one which I think is the only one that's really helping me out with the pain are Tylenol 3s but once in a while I get profuse sweating out of it.
Either way, I'm in pain and agony. I lowered my dosage of Gabapentin from 3 pills every 8 hours to just 1 pill because I can't deal with the GI issues it caused. At 3 pills per dosage, the abdominal pain is 10/10 (not as bad as the 12/10 backpain without any meds) and the agony can last up to 6 hours. I find myself going back and forth between the toilet and the bathtub. Anything I eat doesn't stay in my digestive system for too long and when I get the epigastric pain, it kills my appetite. I don't like the sensation of being hungry, but what's the point of eating if it'll cause severe nausea and have yourself curled up in bed writhing in pain?
I finally have the energy of cooking myself some Cheetos mac & cheese but I find as I'm enjoying the meal, I'm making mad trips to the bathroom. This is definitely not quality of life and if this keeps up, I won't be anywhere near ready going back to work.
