2011 resolution

I guess if I am going to resolve to do anything it would be to get my story written and edited to a point where I can look into submitting it for publishing. I don't know if a year is enough time for that but it is something I want to strive for. I don't expect to have it in stores in a year but I want to get it ready for that at least on a personal sense by then. I am a good half way done with the 1st draft so it shouldn't be too long before I start editing it.

I also want to make sure I do justice to the same sex relationship that is central to the story and not just have it sound like some horny guy writing a story about two girls. I want it to feel more realistic then that. Showing the confusion in the main character as she starts to develop feelings she's never had before, getting the moment where she accepts those feelings as not being something wrong and twisted and then showing the relationship that follows as romantic and caring with its ups and downs and not just as "lets jump in the sack" like some writing I've seen. I want to thank all those wonderful people who have helped me with that aspect of the story as well as with any other parts. You know who you are. I would list your names here but I don't know if you want that attention drawn to you so I wont but feel free to take credit in the comments. I won't forget any of you when/if it comes time for the acknowledgements page. Wishful thinking there :)
