New Photo Blog
A lot of you have probably already seen the links through Facebook, but if you haven't...
I started a new photo blog at Trying to See.
A year and a half ago I started taking pictures every day and posting them here. It worked OK, but I got derailed after five months because my camera broke in such a way that it made it still usable but a pain to carry around. I decided I wanted to start again this year, but for a variety of reasons decided to go with a free Wordpress blog rather than posting the photos here. Mainly, most of my potential audience (family) isn't on LiveJournal and I wanted something they would find easy to look at and comment on. Second, the ways Wordpress and LJ publish to Facebook are different, and I prefer the Wordpress method. And third, I like that I can create my posts in one step rather than uploading photos somewhere else before I can insert them in a post.
I'm not getting rid of LJ, just creating a focused blog for that specific project. At some point I may pull my old photo posts from the original project to the new one if the logistics aren't too much.
