Thankful for
Today I am thankful for my hearing.
My company takes safety quite seriously and part of that is protecting and monitoring our hearing. Today was the annual hearing test where they send eight of us at a time into a trailer with little booths and they play various beeps in our ears. There's a button to push when you hear the sound.
I had defective earphones for the first part of the test and I was really starting to worry about my hearing, but fortunately the test attendant monitors what's going on and noticed my button pressing was out of whack. He gave me new headphones and things were much better after that.
We'll have the results in a few weeks.
