Netbook Plus Cable Wifi Equals Very, Very Good
So my local cable company put in this ginormous wifi network which it is offering free of charge to all subscribers of its Internet services. (Most likely their way of saying, "Please don't leave us for Verizon FIOS.") So I'm giving it a shot today, and it's DAMN good. The speed is more than decent - I'm sitting out here in a park not only posting to LJ, but also listening to Internet radio. I'm definitely impressed. (And, hey, just in time for summer!)
