I injured my back whilst serving this great country of ours - nothing major, mind, just a inconvenient reoccurring ouchie - and it has periodically laid me out since. I bend the wrong way and, yeowch! Shooting pains down my right leg whenever I move and forget laying down to sleep.
Generally, the answer is lots of pain killers and muscle relaxants and taking it easy for a week.
Well, my screwed up back has got a new trick. A burning pain in my right hip if I sleep the wrong way and a steadily growing numb area on the right side of my abdomen. Starts almost exactly under my belly button and has extended to around the him and partially onto my right bum. Like the skin’s been coated with Novocain or something; I feel pressure, but that’s about it.
I’m going in to see the doc in a few days for my routine Diabetes check-up and, while I’m there, I’ll check to see what can be done about this damn pinched nerve.
I swear: the only good thing about getting older is guessing what’s the next thing to act up.
