Still no sign on my missing contact lense...but by now I'm pretty sure it's not in my eye so we're all good. But darn it now I have an odd number which bothers me >:(

Had a pretty good weekend which was relatively plan free which was nice after the hectic one I had the week before. Saturday I dropped into Hardly Normals to get a printer, and was skulking out with a cheap dodgy one under my arm when I was spotted by Brian, the guy who got me my computer, who shook his head and mouthed "not that one". Sighing, I trundled the printer back to the shelf and waited while Brian got rid of customer. I was then shown which printer I was allowed to buy . This was was still around the same price though and apparently is unlikely to breakdown unlike the one I had picked up. Yay! I officially christened it today by finally printing some letters to send for Swancon 2010 (which I was supposed to do months ago but was sidetracked by a number of things). It only took me about 5 attempts to work out the whole printing on envelopes things ...yeah not too bright!

Saturday night was a non birthday birthday party (i.e. the host siad it was for no reason but we all knew it had been her birthday recently). I gave the birthday girl some fluffy blue slippers because last time I had been there for a committee meeting her dog spent the ENIRE 2 HOURS growling at my fluffy slippers...so i thought she and he might enjoy some ;) Despite it being ICY COLD me and a couple of the girls wound up in the spa where we were totally boiled but enjoying being very very warm on such a darn cold night. It was funny, we would all have to sit on the edge periodically to cool off meanwhile peopel wearing heavy jumpers, scarves and hats watched us bemusedly ;)

Today I tidied, did washing and other fun stuff. After lunch I attended a "Saying goodbye to the uterus" party for a friend who is shortly to have a hysterectomy. Probably the most unusual reason for a party I've ever come across but it was enjoyable. I particularly like that she had set up and arts and crafts table where we were asked to create something showing what the uterus meant to us as individuals .

Okay I can't feel my fingers anymore, time to quit!
