I'm writing this letter to give you a sense of what I'm looking for in a Yuletide story. Many authors like to be given some idea of what their recipient might want to simplify the writing process. If you find you can't work from any of my suggestions, it's okay; I just wanted to make sure I gave them to you in case they turn out to be helpful. :)
Requested Fandoms: Foo Fighters RPF (Music and Bands), Father Knows Best (TV), and Little House on the Prairie (TV 1974).
Warning: There is some very frank sexual talk in this letter.
In general, I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to pairings, if there's going to be one. Het, slash, femmeslash, threesomes, poly groupings, it's all good. I'm squicked by the extreme stuff; I like my bondage vanilla and flowery, and I'm not into bodily excretions that normally make their home in the sewer. Other squicks/gross outs: Crossdressing and overfeminization of men. Male pregnancy, vore, necrophilia.
Orgasmic secretions are great and much appreciated. I read some of everything - consensual, seduction, dub-con, and non-con unless otherwise noted.
What do I mean when I say "and it turns into sex/becomes sexual/etc"? Anything from kissing and petting/groping/caressing, oral, frottage, to going all the way, with moaning/vocalizations. Bringing each other to orgasm would be great. Some dirty talk is cool as long as it doesn't get ridiculous.

This is going to be a bit of a strange Yuletide for me because of the death of Taylor Hawkins on March 25th of this year. I can't believe he's gone. It's still a huge shock. He was so full of life and spirit and there's still so much we don't know. Because of all this, if you are writing Foo Fighters fic for me, please do not write a story where Taylor is dead. Please pretend for me that he is still alive for one more Yuletide. 😢
Mostly I want Dave/Taylor here and am not incredibly picky. However, I would prefer this happen in the context of an open marriage for both guys rather than a cheating scenario, or AU it so they aren't married.
DNW specifically for this fandom: Please do not compare Taylor to Kurt Cobain with the idea that Taylor is just Dave's replacement for Kurt. I've seen people say in YouTube comments that Taylor looks like Kurt and sings like Kurt - which is total bullshit. The only thing they have in common physically is blonde hair, and if you think their singing voices sound anything alike, you seriously need your ears flushed out.
A few story possibilities, in no particular order (numbered only for ease of listing):
1. Dave and Taylor are two of very few survivors after the world has ended. They're trying to find a way to survive and deal with the loss of their families. Their efforts to comfort each other definitely do not turn into sex. Oh wait, yeah they do. AU this if you need to (change the names of loved ones so the deaths aren't close to reality; I would like for them to have someone to grieve so there's hurt/comfort).
Please no zombie apocalypse. So over it.

2. Something set in the time period between "The Colour and the Shape" and "There is Nothing Left to Lose" (1999) when Dave had the house and home studio in Virginia and spent his days writing/recording songs, drinking, and hanging out with Taylor and Nate Mendel, having cookouts every night. It sounds like a good time. Would appreciate manhandley/rough sex as Dave and Taylor play and try to figure out who tops/how to turn each other on. Hair pulling, holding each other down, wrist pinning, play wrestling, but all consensual. Nate can "go to the store" a lot. (That's a joke, unless you find the idea useful.) 😃

If you want to mix it up, after Dave and Taylor become a bit comfortable with each other, someone else is suddenly thrown into the room with them... like Chris, or Rami...
4. Ummmmm... although I don't believe it happened in real life, I'd totally go for a story about Dave seducing Frances Bean at 20 (I think that would have been her age at the time) in the back of a car and them going at it. (I'm going to hell for this one.) Would love a long buildup with lots of seductive foreplay where he has to get her really wound up before she reciprocates. Want to make my year? Taylor's there too!! And Frances had no idea they were involved! (So, big ol' threesome.)

This time, one of them gets waaaay too into it and plots a very elaborate kidnapping scenario where it's done as a complete surprise and is so real, it's scary at first.
6. Dave and Jordyn sometimes get lonely when he is away on tour, so they often set up times to have phone sex, which includes sending each other pics and videos in various states of undress and arousal. And of course, they masturbate live for each other on Facetime or whatever. During their latest live video session, Taylor walks in on Dave and wants to join in. And Jordyn is totally cool with it! In fact, it turns her on! Throw in Alison if you want. (Femmeslash is awesome too.)
An alternate version of this story would be Dave and Taylor separated for some reason (the pandemic?) and they do pics and live videos with just the two of them.
7. Dave is actually some kind of supernatural creature. The band keeps it well hidden. Hunters ala "Supernatural" think Dave is dangerous and needs to die. The rest of the band defend him with their lives and badass fighting/weapons skills. Slash between Dave and Taylor would be appreciated. (Leave out some band members if it's too many people to write; they just weren't around when the attack happened.)
8. Dave and Taylor get caught in a pouring rain storm and are drenched from head to foot. Gimme "gotta get out of these wet clothes," shivering, toweling each other off until it becomes sexual and they cuddle for warmth. And it turns into sex!
9. Taylor/Chris. Spending a fun night together, both get tipsy to drunk. Taylor thinks Chris is hilarious when he's drunk... and cute... and he can't resist his sweet smile and gorgeous blue eyes. What people don't know is none of it is an act and the psychic actually suffers quite a bit from his visions and visitations. The publicist takes care of his client in personal ways that turn romantic and hurt/comforty. Fill other roles in the story with Rami and Chris, if necessary.

(Seriously, Taylor wears these pants all the time!) WRITE THE CLOTHES-SHARING, SLASH SAGA OF THE STRIPED PANTS!!! (Dave/Kurt, Dave/Taylor please!)
It has come to my attention since I came up with this prompt that these are typical Adidas pants. Taylor loves their comfort and wears them A LOT more than I first realized. This doesn't mean that he couldn't have discovered them because of Dave's old comfy pants from his Nirvana days.

This request is going to sound crazy, just so you know. Don't panic.
My fondest request for this fandom would be to see what the Andersons' lives would be like if they were dealing with something totally unexpected from a show like this, such as... what if they were a demon hunting family, like on "Supernatural"? (If you do a crossover, what if they interacted with Henry Winchester and the Men of Letters?) What if they investigated haunted houses and dealt with killer ghosts? What if Betty was a vampire slayer? Can you imagine how Bud would feel if he had to not only deal with an overachieving older sister, but one who was a better hunter than him, or one who had saved the world? Jim's a demonologist? An exorcist? Kathy is psychic? There are so many possibilities. How would all of these possible situations be handled differently, it being the 1950s vs now?
I know, it's nuts, but I have these wonderful mental pictures of Betty and Jim with weapons and Betty delivering some colossal 1950s-style ass kickings.
(I think the only thing I wouldn't like here would be a zombie apocalypse or superhero AU. Also, I'm not really looking for sex fic with this fandom unless it is about Betty losing her virginity, and no incest fic.)
If this is something you simply can't wrap your head around, any story in the same basic vein as the following eps would be awesome.
Favorite episodes/moments:
1). The one where the family acted out the plot of the murder mystery show they'd been watching when the TV went out.
2). The one where they listened to the broadcast from the boat caught in the storm and got totally overinvolved.
3). The ep from season one where Jim's friend's wife, Jill, stayed with the family. We never saw Jill again. More interaction with Jill/a "Where is she now?" sort of thing would be cool.
4). The ep where Kathy broke Betty's treasured pen, and Bud blackmailed her into being his servant, driving her to eventually go after him with a baseball bat.
5). Ep where Betty was going out for the lead in the college dance/musical play and was up against a blonde girl who claimed she never practiced but was still a phenomenal dancer. Where is this girl now? What is her life like? I thought she was really interesting.
6). There's an ep somewhere where a girl said something negative about Margaret and Betty said if she said anything else bad about her mother, she would slap her face. Woo! Go Betty! (Love Betty being a moral badass but also being a totally overdramatic teenage girl.)
The Andersons being the same loving, protective, quirky family as always would make me a happy camper. You can find several clips from this show on Youtube. I know Netflix has the DVDs; I don't know about streaming.

This is a hard one to request because there are so many interesting characters I would love to receive stories about. It was impossible to nominate every one of them. Some of my suggested story prompts will concern characters I could not nominate - I know that using these characters is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, and therefore the prompts are optional as well. I am suggesting them just in case you do know any of these characters and are inspired to write about them. If you are only able to write about the nominated characters, that's perfectly fine too.
Prompts in no particular order:
1). Nellie/Percival where he dominates her in bed and she loves it. A corsette and 1800's "marital aids" would be great. Feel free to go R or NC-17. Yes, I went there.

2). I always found Nancy Oleson to be an interesting villain because we never knew much about where she came from. She was always writing those themes for school, and there was something a bit tragic about them because they were so full of bravado and half-truths. She often made up complete lies about her past. How about life stories/memoires Nancy Oleson began but never finished? What other things would Nancy make up about herself? How much truth would there be in those stories? Maybe Five Lies Nancy Told and One Truth?

Something where Jenny Wilder is the one who's wrong, and the one she's wronged is Nancy, and she doesn't feel guilty about it until she realizes just how badly Nancy got hurt/that Nancy does have real feelings. Yes, I am hungry for the goody-two-shoes to be a little evil and the hellion to be a little good for once. Perhaps the thing Jenny does relates to Nancy's past, where Nancy came from?

4). Remember the episode "Be My Friend" with Anna Mears where she gives her baby away because her father is too bitter to let her grow up? And Laura and Charles find the baby? Did Anna ever seek out Laura years later to let her know how her life is going, how the baby is doing, to let her see "Grace" as a young lady? Did Anna keep her promise and name the baby Grace or use it as a nickname?

5). My favorite episode of LHotP ever is "May We Make Them Proud," where Albert smokes a pipe with his friend Clay and is served up a heaping helping of guilt when that pipe burns down Mary and Adam's school and home.
Does Andy know Albert was involved in the killing of his mother? What does he think of it? Sure, it was an accident, but is that what Andy would think? When did he find out? This was never covered in the show and I would love to see it covered, especially considering that Albert and Andy were acting like it never happened by the next episode.
6). Anything concerning the episode "The Aftermath" from season 4, where Frank and Jesse James were hiding out in Walnut Grove. I can't help the giant lady boner I developed for Jesse since the actor was pretty cute and had a real but subtle Southern drawl. Wuff! Extra conversations while Frank and Jesse were alone? Trying not to panic when the posse shows up? ("Go on without me, Jesse! I'll just slow you down and get you killed!") Outsider point of view from Mary's perspective? (How did they tell her who they really were and what they planned to do with her once they decided to take a hostage?)
Heaven help me but I'd even go for some Frank/Jesse on this one. Think of the desperation as they're trying to make it out of Minnesota alive!!! *much positive pearl clutching*
An AU version where the James brothers really did have to negotiate for their escape by threatening Mary's life?

My fondest request for this fandom would be to see what the Andersons' lives would be like if they were dealing with something totally unexpected from a show like this, such as... what if they were a demon hunting family, like on "Supernatural"? (If you do a crossover, what if they interacted with Henry Winchester and the Men of Letters?) What if they investigated haunted houses and dealt with killer ghosts? What if Betty was a vampire slayer? Can you imagine how Bud would feel if he had to not only deal with an overachieving older sister, but one who was a better hunter than him, or one who had saved the world? Jim's a demonologist? An exorcist? Kathy is psychic? There are so many possibilities. How would all of these possible situations be handled differently, it being the 1950s vs now?
I know, it's nuts, but I have these wonderful mental pictures of Betty and Jim with weapons and Betty delivering some colossal 1950s-style ass kickings.
(I think the only thing I wouldn't like here would be a zombie apocalypse or superhero AU. Also, I'm not really looking for sex fic with this fandom unless it is about Betty losing her virginity, and no incest fic.)
If this is something you simply can't wrap your head around, any story in the same basic vein as the following eps would be awesome.
Favorite episodes/moments:
1). The one where the family acted out the plot of the murder mystery show they'd been watching when the TV went out.
2). The one where they listened to the broadcast from the boat caught in the storm and got totally overinvolved.
3). The ep from season one where Jim's friend's wife, Jill, stayed with the family. We never saw Jill again. More interaction with Jill/a "Where is she now?" sort of thing would be cool.
4). The ep where Kathy broke Betty's treasured pen, and Bud blackmailed her into being his servant, driving her to eventually go after him with a baseball bat.
5). Ep where Betty was going out for the lead in the college dance/musical play and was up against a blonde girl who claimed she never practiced but was still a phenomenal dancer. Where is this girl now? What is her life like? I thought she was really interesting.
6). There's an ep somewhere where a girl said something negative about Margaret and Betty said if she said anything else bad about her mother, she would slap her face. Woo! Go Betty! (Love Betty being a moral badass but also being a totally overdramatic teenage girl.)
The Andersons being the same loving, protective, quirky family as always would make me a happy camper. You can find several clips from this show on Youtube. I know Netflix has the DVDs; I don't know about streaming.

This is a hard one to request because there are so many interesting characters I would love to receive stories about. It was impossible to nominate every one of them. Some of my suggested story prompts will concern characters I could not nominate - I know that using these characters is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL, and therefore the prompts are optional as well. I am suggesting them just in case you do know any of these characters and are inspired to write about them. If you are only able to write about the nominated characters, that's perfectly fine too.
Prompts in no particular order:
1). Nellie/Percival where he dominates her in bed and she loves it. A corsette and 1800's "marital aids" would be great. Feel free to go R or NC-17. Yes, I went there.

2). I always found Nancy Oleson to be an interesting villain because we never knew much about where she came from. She was always writing those themes for school, and there was something a bit tragic about them because they were so full of bravado and half-truths. She often made up complete lies about her past. How about life stories/memoires Nancy Oleson began but never finished? What other things would Nancy make up about herself? How much truth would there be in those stories? Maybe Five Lies Nancy Told and One Truth?

3). Something where Jenny Wilder is the one who's wrong, and the one she's wronged is Nancy, and she doesn't feel guilty about it until she realizes just how badly Nancy got hurt/that Nancy does have real feelings. Yes, I am hungry for the goody-two-shoes to be a little evil and the hellion to be a little good for once. Perhaps the thing Jenny does relates to Nancy's past, where Nancy came from?

4). Remember the episode "Be My Friend" with Anna Mears where she gives her baby away because her father is too bitter to let her grow up? And Laura and Charles find the baby? Did Anna ever seek out Laura years later to let her know how her life is going, how the baby is doing, to let her see "Grace" as a young lady? Did Anna keep her promise and name the baby Grace or use it as a nickname?

5). My favorite episode of LHotP ever is "May We Make Them Proud," where Albert smokes a pipe with his friend Clay and is served up a heaping helping of guilt when that pipe burns down Mary and Adam's school and home.
Does Andy know Albert was involved in the killing of his mother? What does he think of it? Sure, it was an accident, but is that what Andy would think? When did he find out? This was never covered in the show and I would love to see it covered, especially considering that Albert and Andy were acting like it never happened by the next episode.
6). Anything concerning the episode "The Aftermath" from season 4, where Frank and Jesse James were hiding out in Walnut Grove. I can't help the giant lady boner I developed for Jesse since the actor was pretty cute and had a real but subtle Southern drawl. Wuff! Extra conversations while Frank and Jesse were alone? Trying not to panic when the posse shows up? ("Go on without me, Jesse! I'll just slow you down and get you killed!") Outsider point of view from Mary's perspective? (How did they tell her who they really were and what they planned to do with her once they decided to take a hostage?)
Heaven help me but I'd even go for some Frank/Jesse on this one. Think of the desperation as they're trying to make it out of Minnesota alive!!! *much positive pearl clutching*
An AU version where the James brothers really did have to negotiate for their escape by threatening Mary's life?
