Yay new "Supernatural" tonight!
SPoilers for 10.15 "The Things They Carried"
COLE LIVED!! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!! At one point I was convinced he was going to get killed, but then things turned around and it seemed more like he would make it through the episode alive. I'm SO glad they didn't waste a perfectly good character. He has so much potential to continue to be developed and grow. I liked how they came up with a believable reason for Sam and Dean to run into him without Cole leaving his family and becoming a hunter, which would have been the cliche way for it to happen.
You know what I want really bad now? You can probably guess. Yes, I want me some Dean/Cole fanfic o' goodness. Dean, helping weak and dehydrated Cole clean up and get something to drink once the whole thing is over... with sexy results!
Some favorite lines: The whole porn and masturbation discussion. Dean telling Sam to "Zip it up." XD Sam being a meanie and not letting Dean have any cake, so Dean steals a fingerful of icing.
Ahh, North Carolina. Now we know where Cole's twangy accent comes from.
Heh, Dean calling Cole "Kung-fu Grip." (Suggestive!)
Why is Sam letting Cole call him Sammy? And is Cole the first person in the history of the show (that I can remember anyway) who called Dean Dean-O? And why do I like it so much? Reeeeow. It just WORKS for him. Really, when did Cole become so familiar with them anyway? Does he feel some sort of affection for them, or does it start out as nicknames to mock them and turn into affection? Because I would swear you could make a case for Cole doing a bit of FLIRTING there.
Why didn't they tie Cole down from the beginning of the Khan Wormectomy? Seems like that would have been the smart thing to do. "Dean-O? Will you do me the honor of tying me to this chair?" If that isn't a loaded bit of dialogue... >:) He's gonna drink Dean like a fountain, huh?
Oh, Khan Worm. Disgusting. Killed my slash buzz. A little.
Damn it, Cole is just too handsome in a next-door-neighbor sort of way. May there be many excuses to bring him back (and continue to not kill him).

Considering Cole’s infection-and his past with Dean-it’s not a stretch to say that these two will at least attempt to harm each other again. However, on a more personal note, Wade would love to stop hitting Jensen Ackles. “The more I hurt the boys, I think I lose fans,” Wade said, laughing. “Even on set, I’m like, ‘Do I really have to punch him?’ Because if I hit these boys, if I touch their faces, these female fans come at me, personally. And yet, their past has created what Wade described as a “weird” bond. “A lot of people tend to bond with the person they’ve been in a fight with,” Wade said. “I think there’s a natural occurrence within men once they’ve slugged it out, more so with me and Dean because we went toe-to-toe and we got a chance to fight each other.”
As for Cole’s relationship with Sam, Wade described it as a bit “softer.” “I think [Sam] is a little bit more sympathetic. There’s a bonding that happens when you beat and torture someone. There is an actual scientific name behind it. It is an interesting phenomenon. So many people I know that have been through that in the military end up having some connection with their torturer.” [Editor’s note: He’s referring to Stockholm Syndrome.]
Hmmm, interesting. This could explain the strange affection Cole seems to be showing toward them, and why Sam didn't freak out when he called him "Sammy." Interesting theory.
Now that's just cute. Wuff.
