Yaaaaaaay!
My high school friend Melissa is coming into town this week and we're going out to lunch! ^__^ This is always a happy lunch for me because all we talk about (besides a little RL stuff) is our writing. ^____^ It's Laurel's crack! She's been published (she wrote this book and this book) and wants very much for me to be published too. It's going to take some time for me to get a manuscript ready, but it's nice to know someone who has been published has that faith in me without even having read my recent work. We worked on the newspaper staff together in high school.
Then over Labor Day weekend, my friend Tina wants me to come stay with her because her roommates will be going out of town. We're going to swim, pig out, and go see "As Above, So Below," which looks like it could be really scary! Or actually, I will wade since I never learned how to swim, pig out, and see the movie. And somewhere in there, I want another hamburger with avocado on it.
