Perspective

You know... I just can't get excited about "Supernatural" getting low ratings on Thursday night. When your best friend is seriously ill and you haven't heard anything new for two days, it really puts things into perspective.

I'm sitting on some potential news about myself that I'm waiting to hear on (I'll know Wednesday), and you know, it may not be good. I want the chance to talk to Kaye about it before I really get into it. But, a bunch of people choosing to watch "Lost" instead doesn't seem so important.

I've got The Day After Tomorrow on. For some reason, this movie is legendary at work. Everyone talks about it. Everyone has seen it. During training, the trainer asked if anyone had any other questions, and a girl jokingly asked if the movie came true, what building would we stand on top of to avoid the floods? And we actually discussed what was the tallest building in Dallas. Now that I'm watching it, it seems kind of laughable. Could global warming really happen that fast? Like, overnight?

The special effects are pretty damn neat, though. My dad would have loved this movie. He loved disaster films.

Back to my holding pattern.
