2007 Fanfic Year in Review
I've seen a few people on my fiend's list do this, and it looked like a fun thing to do. So I doed it.
I wrote a lot more than I thought!

Layers Within Layers, That One (Four Ways in which Alva Surprised Paul and One Way He Didn't) Breakdown by Fandom
The Ring/Ringu: 13 chapters, 8 of them xovers w/ Supernatural and 1 xover w/ Miracles
Supernatural: 9 + 8 xovers w/ The Ring/Ringu
Miracles: 1 + 1 xover w/ The Ring/Ringu
My favorite story this year: I loved writing so many of them, but the story I gave the most love was "She just wanted to be heard." It's the culmination of many years of ideas involving my favorite movie ever. May my obsession with it never end, or at least stay hot until I finish 100 chapters.
My best story this year: This is a hard question to answer, because I think they're all good for their own reasons. But I guess I'd have to say "Lacerated Sky" because it has been the best received.
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: "She just wanted to be heard" and "The Generation of 1954." Sjwtbh is my epic horror story, and I know people are reading it, but I get hardly any feedback on it, especially on individual chapters. It would be nice to hear from people more often. "The Generation of 1954" hasn't been read that much, at least not on Fanfiction.Net. My "Miracles" cross-overs w/ SPN are actually my least-read stories because most people have no idea what "Miracles" is, and I understand that, really I do. But the ending of "Gen of 1954" has a really innovative twist to mix SPN and Miracles in a way no one else has done; I'd love to hear from more people on what they think of the AU universe the ending creates.
Sexiest story: "Lacerated Sky." It's pure vampire sex with angst and humor thrown in, and people seem to like it. (You kids and your Wincest.)
Most fun story: "The Quest for the Krypt Key." Silly crack!fic. What more can I say?
"Holy crap, that's *wrong*, even for you" story: "Lacerated Sky." I'm not a big Wincest person. So, I write vampire!Sam sucking his brother's blood to live and it eventually turns into Wincestuous content. And threesomes with Lenore. I'd consider it a typical me story if it didn't have the Wincest.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: Whichever Day of Sjwtbh it was when I finally got confirmation that Quinn and Svetlana weren't just casually fucking each other, but were actually in love. Up until then, I really wasn't sure about those two.
Hardest story to write: "Generation of 1954" because of the length and being written on a deadline.
Biggest surprise: The response to "Seize the Day, Suffer the Night." Because it has a made-up sister for Dean and Sam, I expected to get lots of negative "Mary Sue!" comments from people who simply won't give this kind of story a chance. But I've gotten nothing but positive comments about how funny Brook Winchester is and how much readers like the story so far. Makes me feel a bit more confident about the various Winsister ideas I have.
Most unintentionally *telling* story: Isn't it remarkable how many threesome stories I wrote this year? Gee, you think threesomes turn me on? I kinda get that sense. O_o
A story I want remembered: Any with innovative ideas, like "The Generation of 1954," "Hidden Journal," Sjwtbh... I love any story in which I took a chance and messed with the canon in order to write out an interesting concept, but tried to respect the canon at the same time.
Neat. ^_^
For those of you who have been cool enough to vote in my polls and help me decide on a name for my character, I have made a decision.
Her name will be Cheyenne. Which is ironic, since it was the first name I had for her, I sort of rejected it, and ultimately I came back to it. The reason why is because once I put the Live Action Model with the names, she just looked like a screaming Cheyenne. I don't know what makes any person "look" like a certain name, but it just happens. Also, I strongly considered Scarlett, but then I put it with her last name, which is Bloodworth. Um, Scarlett Bloodworth? Oh, I don't think so. What is she, a fairy tale heroine? Silly oversight on my part.
Scarlett and Sarah will be used for other characters. Thanks for giving me feedback, you guys! Aren't polls funnsies? :D
